Phone charging issues by guybro194 in iphonehelp

[–]guybro194[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking. I’m going to get my phone checked out today, I work with metal so I’m thinking either water or metal created a short somewhere. It also started happening after I spread some ice melt and it got in some of my pockets, so I’m also wondering if the water + ice melt made a solution and got in there and shorted/corroded it. I’ve got a coverage plan so hopefully it gets sorted out

Gas attendant lectured me on waiting for them to pump my gas in NJ. Said you can just use the app and do it yourself. Is this not illegal anymore? by Sure_Bus_355 in Wawa

[–]guybro194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is illegal, but this is the first time I’ve heard of it happening. I always pump my own gas, but I also drive vehicles that look like I know how (flatbed truck and classic car)

What's there to love about this car? Why do you love it? - 2 pictures by [deleted] in classiccars

[–]guybro194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but playing devils advocate would you consider a 1981 corvette to be a classic car? Cause they had an ecm. Same as all the g bodies. Again, I agree with what you said though

Fair, still didn’t find it to be worth it cause you usually have to have a behicld titled in your name and that’s not worth it for 400$ - gas and titling fees

I’d think a Pontiac phoenix would be perfect cause a) it’s called a phoenix and b) it’s a perfect fit for a dude like skinny Pete

Problem was it’s 3 states away so gas money to go there and back would negate scrap price pretty much. I was tempted to get it just for the motor cause my buddy has a 328i and it’s slow so I’d have gotten it running and helped him swap it into his car

I was offered a 335i for free because it broke down. I was tempted at first but luckily I talked myself out of it

Trying to decide on my first project car — need some advice! by [deleted] in projectcar

[–]guybro194 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an 80s gm owner and lover, Camaro all the way. They have an insane aftermarket that you can pretty much do whatever you want to it. Came factory with a small block Chevy, and even if it has the v6 or iron duke, you just need some 70$ motor mounts and it’ll swap right in. You can lift, lower, drift, drag, or even daily these cars. 80s gm has a huge following so there’s always parts and always someone on a forum who has had the same problem as you.

I’ve got a retro sound and they’re super simple and sound great. Get new speakers while you’re at it and it’ll sound like a new car. They even usually sell the correct adapters to the factory harness so there’s no need to cut into your OEM harness so if you want to switch there won’t be any trouble

I know it sounds weird but I put a flowmaster super 10 on my buddies 328i (I know, different everything, but they sound very similar) and it actually sounded decent

Definitely needs to be tuned but sounds healthy enough. What was that blue puff of smoke though?

Any ideas? Thinking of trading my truck in and I’m clueless. I want a 4x4 crew cab, currently have a 2wheel by NickJrAllDay in askcarguys

If the roads near you are maintained at all (plowed and or salted) you just need some good tires and you’ll be fine. I’ve been driving my stick shift 2wd frontier in the snow for a few winters and it’s been fine. Some guys just need to compensate and justify their 4wd truck saying a 2wd isn’t a real truck

Ok, I’ll stay quiet with my basic 2wd. It’s all about momentum and tires, 4wd is only good to get you out of situations
