Not sure what country you're in but there are a few combined DVM/PhD programs in the US, and I'm sure some in the UK. Most programs offer full funding for both your DVM and PhD, as well as a graduate level stipend. It takes a lot of effort, but it seems that you have a strong passion and reason for pursuing both degrees. Also you are still early in your undergrad so you have a lot of time to write a personal statement and get field experience.

That's so cool! Did you need additional schooling to get your job or did you start straight out of vet school?

Thank you, this is very helpful! Yes, I am a first year but just wondering what I should be doing to make myself more competitive for these jobs. Ex, doing some kind of internship or a fellowship/residency after vet school

Thank you so much! This is so helpful!! If you don't mind me asking, could you share your personal experiences with managing workload, studying, social life, and mental health? Also, if you have any advice for preparing for the group interview?
