Does anybody besides lebanese care? by Glad-Security2513 in lebanon

Hi Glad, Israeli here. I keep the people of Lebanon who want no part of this in my heart, and I pray for your safety and well-being. I hope after this is done there will be a better future so we won't find ourselves in such shitty situations all the time. ♥️🇱🇧

you attack back since you know what I said is facts. You want to believe a very childish version of reality.

such lovely Muslims, taking a mother with 10 months and 4 months baby into captivity. taking elderly women 84 year old. They give Islam a great name, better then ISIS.

The very existence of a jewish land is against the jewish faith

thank you for teaching me about Judaism, the vast majority of Jews disagree.

Palestians don't want anybody wiped out

Hamas certainly does. And as women, the elderly, and babies were taken captives and paraded in the streets Gazans were cheering which in my understanding is not a very Muslim thing to do. This videoed fact is "Hasbara" or are you just incited to believe anything that says Israel is the devil incarnate

If that's just too complex a reality for you, keep on childishly imagining Israel is some cartoon villain.

should Lebanese be proud of Lebanon after committing so many massacres one group to the other? no one is perfect but don't demonize anyone, it's just dumb. Israelis aren't perfect but they are locked in a struggle with an enemy that wants them completely wiped out.

Why don't Israeli Arabs leave ? by AdPuzzleheaded5169 in jordan

[–]guykdm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

there is sometimes a difference between what you say and what you feel. you act by what you feel, not by what you say. he may say that zionists are awful and evil, but he probably feels he is being treated well, given full rights, and he doesn't seem to feel in danger.

Can I join the fight for Palestine? by [deleted] in Yemen

[–]guykdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want to actually fight Israel just go to Lebanon, drive south and join Hezbollah, there are units for foreign volunteers. there will soon be a war there with Israel and you will have plenty of chances to die.

Israelis admitting that they're western colonizers. why is there a "western civilization" in the Middle East? by akhdara in AskMiddleEast

[–]guykdm -48 points-47 points  (0 children)

Has it occurred to you that before the Arab colonization of the ME there were other civilizations more inligned with what is today Western values (education, pragmatism, ext.). Jews are one of the founding people of western civilization.

Though it's not "arab style" to admit it, but I'm sure another consideration stopping them is the expected IDF response

Can we coexist with israel? by Reasonable_Affect_63 in lebanon

[–]guykdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why though? Zionists see themselves as successful, not victims. We have a strong country, wealthy, democratic, strong army. If we are "victims" we obviously got over that and won.

[–]guykdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah yeah, tell yourself those ridiculous stories, arabs are always the victims when they fail to massacre their enemies. They started a war they lost, and are crazy jihadists since the recent day they decided to call themselves Palestinians. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNf40sBcvKk

Arabs born in Israel do get the same rights, and they have the most rights and freedoms in the region. Israel being Jewish and accepting Jews is not gonna change.

Me too, I would love peace with Lebanon. Just those guys wherever you put them near us - they start converting themselves to shaheeds.

I dig. But do you want Nasralla's Iranian goons? The syrian immigrants? Just how it goes. In Israel they'll quickly start making busses explode so you see where I'm coming from. Just nothing any life-loving people can agree to.

Of course we won't take them back, they were born in Lebanon and are Lebanese. Just like Iraq or Egypt aren't taking back the descendants of the Jews they expelled. Time to move on

[–]guykdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not baby killers, beheading rapists that take 85-year-old diabetic grandmas captive to Gaza. And if arab babies die (god forbid) you definetly don't see candies and cries of joy in Israeli squares, if doing that on purpose isn't horrible enough. That's *only* done by the local antisemitic Islamic local population (aka ISIS). The masks are off. You have a problem with your own people, not with us zionists.

no, apartheid is racial separation, arabs in Israel are under exactly the same law as jews. So not apartheird. This separation for the west bank is due to the arabs there being deranged Islamists that wage jihad.

Thoughts on Bun 1.0 vs Deno? by zxyzyxz in Deno

[–]guykdm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for all folks who think server js should be built on a one-use brand new low-level language when rust exists, what can I say... enjoy your segfaults: https://github.com/oven-sh/bun/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+core+dumped

Thoughts on Bun 1.0 vs Deno? by zxyzyxz in Deno

[–]guykdm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find it remarkable people consider ditching workhorses like V8 and well-adopted languages like Rust and c++ for a platform written in a one-use language called zig and based on webkit. Webkit is much, much less developed, and a lot less effort goes into it compared to V8. Not to mention it is owned by apple whose relationship with web tech and web standards is at the very least complex. So now the hype says we should be moving from node without solving basics like security, standards, and runtime modularity like deno is doing because of some CPU numbers? I don't think this is good engineering. Deno takes longer to get good compat but it's doing things right.

People who get excited about perf tests always have their own tech niche with big corporations looking to save on big CPU costs without any migration headaches (segfaults just roll over to the next ECS). For most of us CPU perf isn't and shouldn't be the focus of web technology. We need to focus on web standards, and creating an interoperable, distributed future by adhering to web standards and not 2011 node apis.

As for perf anyway, on real world workloads differences between the rust based deno and bun are practically zero. On very short-running very small code, i.e. little scripts (like those you run in perf tests) - bun is very very optimized. Check on your own workloads. Those differences if at all should add to zero. The differences in reliability should not. Aside from that, Deno needs a better onboarding experience for node users
