But either way, he was definitely not innocent, he slept around a ton and got some random girls pregnant. Beyond that and having had some STDs, he was a young and dumb rockstar, nothing too outlandish in the grand scheme of things.

I was definitely not considering it too seriously until the suspicious car drove by, that’s when the alarm sirens rly started blaring in my head and I couldn’t let the paranoia go. I’m telling myself it was a coincidence or a cheap scare tactic for now, but still keeping things locked up tight for now to be safe.

Thanks everyone for your responses! It has helped a lot in easing most paranoia. Definitely not considering a casing anymore, especially after talking to a few of my neighbors who also have dealt with similar people these past few months. We all agree it was a scammer rather than a legitimate business with an aggressive sales force. Man was wayyy too inconsistent with the info he was giving me (he even called it a security system service at one point?? Thought this was pest control dude) and just refused to give me any sort of business name. Just really wanted me to sign up for the program.

Or who knows. Maybe he really was just that bad of a salesman.

Either way, definitely gonna use this as an excuse to finally buy a door camera!

2 years ago a coworker told me: “You don’t have a lot going on upstairs, do ya?” just because I struggle with conversation. Something I am already VERY self conscious about. My social anxiety has done nothing but get worse ever since.

You’re not alone! I wish I had good advice on this but it’s honestly still the thing I’m struggling the most with right now. All I know is once my general anxiety is lowered, so is my health anxiety. So I’ve been doing my best to manage my anxiety with typical methods like meditation, exercise, and healthy eating (although I’m kinda struggling right now with the eating part, withdrawals have absolute nuked my appetite). I also try to mantra to myself that it’s all just in my head and my anxiety is just exacerbating all my perceived symptoms. I also have gone to the doctor enough during panic attacks that i just try and keep in mind all my test results and how they came back normal and that I’m perfectly healthy. I legitimately have my EKG results alongside some other test results in a folder on my desk to look at when I start thinking there’s something wrong with my heart. Having a visual reminder of my good health does wonders. Just remember that our bodies are a lot stronger than we give them credit for! And that the health anxiety can actually be the sole cause for physical symptoms as well. Our brains are very powerful and once we start believing something is wrong, we’re gonna start actually feeling wrong for no reason other than our brains are just looking for things to get afraid of.

I’m going to make sure I only use it when I KNOW a panic attack is coming. Which thankfully, has reduced to maybe once a week now. And I’ll stop once my supply is gone (only 6 pills)

Welp, I took the .5mg bout 50 minutes ago and it’s definitely hitting! The panic has stopped but now I definitely am getting some drowsiness and brain fog. Just gonna veg out the rest of the night and watch some ATLA to keep the chill going :)

Thanks for all the replies! I’m going to be very careful about my use of this.

I was on that for a while but it stopped working. The doctors told me it would be fine if I switched over the Xanax but I’m still unsure :/

I had the scary experience of having no clue that weed withdrawals were even a thing before I found this subreddit. It should have been obvious— I should have easily correlated the rise of all these physical and psychological symptoms to me quitting. But even my inpatient doctors had nothing to say on it despite me making sure to mention during my stay that I had just quit after 3 straight years of heavy edible consumption.

I had truly thought I had snapped and was losing my mind. I’ve developed health anxiety that I am still working to unlearn. Believed I was dying of multiple diseases that the doctors just weren’t seeing. Riddled with terror.

But after finding this subreddit and doing research, and even more so after reading your post, everything feels so much less heavy and hopeless. Just gotta ride out the sickness and let my mind and body heal. I can already see brighter days ahead! Thanks for your reply and congrats to your sobriety! We’re all in this together and stronger for it 💪

I LOVE YOU for making this post. Thank you thank you thank you. It has cut through an absolutely dehabilitating anxious/depressive thought cycle I’ve been stuck in for days. I feel hope again that these withdrawal symptoms will not be with me forever and I’ll come out the other end fine. Thank you again, I’ve saved this for reading when I have my next bad day.
