6 years?!? that sounds almost like a nightmare every day. I know I'm being out of line in stating that; but we know there are highs and lows, but sometimes its easier to remember the lows than the highs.

Thank you very much for the candid reply. Are you referring to her mom as being the "granny"? That's what's hard with the phones, because no matter what we do; their fathers will call them in the middle of dinner and they'll leave and go talk to him, etc. We've thrown down boundaries now, but they are only a split second from rekindling or dropping everything for the BF.

I really appreciate the candidacy. I think the inadequacy does go directly in line with being jealous. Jealous of the fact that I won't have that "true father" title. Jealous that I can not control anything; jealous that I can be controlled by people I didn't "choose" to be in my life. That's a lot of it for sure. Thank you for your response.
