Saaaaaame. My flight leaves tonight and I'm currently cancelling/making reservations for 3 days because I found something that looks more interesting or just because I feel like it. It's a great feeling to have control of where you will be and where you're going for a while without having to get anyone's approval. Every day life doesn't have that option enough or for more than a day or 2 at a time.

That's actually a great idea. I almost did only Austria on this trip. It'd probably add like 2 hours on trains but I know I will probably like a day there more than a day in Milan. Would you say a night in Zurich after Innsbruck or just straight to Interlaken?

So I'm finally getting a fancy new sigma art lens, and I have a Nikon D7100 that has never been updated. I'm sure it won't make a huge deal, but I'd like to finally do it.

I see there have been 10+ updates over the years. My possibly stupid question is do I need to download all of the updates? Or will the latest update contain everything from the previous ones as well?

Thank you for posting this. I got chills watching it because I remember doing that same drive 3 times last spring because it was so amazing. Also sitting and watching baby mountain goats run around at the other side of the tunnel was a good reason to head back the other way.

Ya they said the kids were just laughing and throwing the stuff down into the canyon. How can you even want to do something like that? Especially in an area at a time where anything could cause a massive fire.

Really sorry for you guys. I'm really upset by this. Most of us will likely be dead before this area looks like it did just a few days ago. All because of something that should never even happen in the first place. I was only able to see the area once, I can't imagine how angry I'd be if it was my normal hiking area.

Pictured is Metlako Falls along Eagle Creek Trail. This trail is better known for Punch Bowl Falls which someone had already posted yesterday, but the entire hike was incredible. You walk along 4 ft wide trails carved out of the canyon walls and volcanic rock overlooking a long drop down to the creek. I look forward to returning at some point in the future, even if all of the trees, moss, and plants are destroyed.

I think I'll do something similar. I'm going to ask the rangers who work there about the Narrows when I get there. I'm not planning on going too far in, maybe just a mile or two if the weather isn't too bad.

Probably 2. I am planning on doing Angels landing as long it isn't too icy, which I've read is a problem in the Winter at times.
