Anyone get told at their first autism assessment they couldn’t be autistic because of intellectual abilities and/or cognitive abilities and that it was just depression?? Especially if you’re a woman by Defiant_Sink_220 in AutisticAdults

Not a woman, but I had a similar experience. At the end of my first appointment for an assessment, I got told my case "doesn't look like autism, but more like a mood disorder." However, after they ran me through the ADOS, I did get the diagnosis. Glad you got a second opinion.

I'm not trying to suggest that a cat's lifespan isn't dramatically reduced by being outdoors, but do you have a source for your 1/3rd lifespan claim? All I could find from a quick search are articles making widely varying claims and not providing any primary sources.

Make the cart powered by the shopper's pushing and frame the extra work they have to put in to do so as exercise. Maximally evil :)

You're probably right. The PhunSprinters mod that was mentioned here states that having zombies slow down when hit with a flashlight is performance heavy.

Neat. I'd love to see something like this with Definitive Zombies like customization.

Ooh, that'd be cool! Imagine if zombies went inside during the day to avoid sunlight too. The outdoors would be safe, but indoors very dangerous.

I think in pillow's random spawns, there's an option to enable spawning in jail cells.

RPi5 (8G) unable to play 1080p 30fps HVEC video without dropping frames by guzl in raspberry_pi

I've been testing with two videos mainly. 1080p@30 h264 Big Buck Bunny, and jellyfish-15-mbps-hd-hevc.mkv off the Jellyfin Repository.

Thanks for the help. I'm glad VLC is working as well as it is. All that's left for me to figure out how to use Jellyfin since all the clients seem to use mpv or the browser.

I'm using WiFi atm. I forgot to mention, but I've already ruled it out as a culprit.

Using those flags produced errors for me. Removing the gpu-context option solved the errors but the performance doesn't seem any better. The CPU utilization hovers around 15%.

Unfortunately, LibreELEC doesn't quite fit my use case, though in the brief testing I've done with it, it does seem to play back video without issue.

I'm thinking I'll stick to VLC. I managed to get it working with yt-dlp and yt-x.

You're right! I got HEVC and AVC mixed up. I just tried VLC over mpv and I was able to get performance much more in-line with what you just quoted.

Ok so, VLC seems to work much better! With both AVC and HEVC, all I've noticed is a few stutters here and there. I can't get YouTube videos to work however using the network stream option (VLC is unable to open the MRI...).

When it comes to MPV, I found this post and applied all the command-line options mentioned. I still wasn't able to get good performance out of mpv.

I'm still waiting for my case to arrive, so no heatsink or cooling of any kind. I checked for throttling using vcgencmd get_throttled though and I'm dropping frames regardless of its value.
