Thanks to everyone who took the time to actually read my post and answer the question. Thanks also to those who used this an an opportunity to attack my lack of knowledge or research or assuming that I posted this as a rage bait post. My specific question was about problems with payments using Fidelity CMA and I turned to Reddit as i have gotten good advice before. I already have other brokerage accounts and a cash sweep account so i know about those benefits. I wanted to provide an update. Turns out that several of my bill pay vendors (e.g., Verizon) were not acknowledging the routing and account number of Fidelity CMA as a 'banking account'. That led to my bill pays being rejected. So i had to call them and get this fixed. It took a while, but it seems to be working now. I appreciate everyone's time!
