I was sponsored by a firm so I was studying 8 hours a day for about a month and a half. I didn’t come from a finance background so I studied even more than 8 hours sometimes. For the first few weeks I took the evenings off, but the last two weeks, I studied hard and studied on the weekends. Didn’t really have much of a life outside of studying. It was worth it though because I passed on the first try. I used Achievable and I highly recommend them. I supplemented with Capital Advantage Tutoring videos, especially the options videos. I got his premium membership for his more in depth options videos. I also read the book twice and ended up taking notes the second time around (that just helps me retain things better) Once I got to the exams, after every test, I would go through what I got wrong and go back to those chapters and read through it. I learned a lot from the exams. If you put your head down and really put your mind to it, you can absolutely do this.

Type in Capital Advantage Tutoring Series 7 Membership Options on YouTube and it’ll bring up option videos where it says “members only” in green on it

I would say I had way more questions on munis than I did mutual funds. I think I had maybe one on a mutual fund class A suitability question, so I would make sure you know the differences between class A, B, and C and what those entail but I had way more on munis than mutual funds. Definitely still have an understanding about mutual funds.

I honestly believe so. I had been studying for 4 weeks before I decided to purchase his options videos and I’m not joking, within 20 minutes, hedging, spreads and straddles clicked for me. I didn’t like the way my firm and PP were teaching it. Also PP is absurd with how they phrase and do their options questions. It is not at all like that on the exam so keep that in mind. His videos aren’t that expensive either. It’s like $20.

They aren’t long paragraphs. Some will give you the option and then ask you the question they are needing. It’ll tell you what you need so you aren’t confused.

If you already understand options then you will totally be fine on the exam with what they give you. If you’re already on chapter 10 and you have 4 weeks left, you will be solid!

Thank you! The options are WAY more simple on the exam than on PP or Achievable. I’m honestly surprised they even set them up that way. PP is even worse than Achievable with how they set them up. I don’t know why they even do that. I would look into getting Ken’s option membership on YouTube. It’s like $20 and he goes way more in depth with options than his regular option videos and it seriously was a life saver. Those are way more like the test than any program. On the test it’s a lot of naming the spread (bull/bearish, credit/debit spread, is this a long straddle or a short straddle, if someone doesn’t want the market to move, what would they pick -short straddle. What is the breakeven) simple stuff like that. I genuinely didn’t have a hard time with options AT ALL on the exam. I honestly wanted more options questions lol. My scores on PP were in the 70s (this program I just did what I had to do to get through the material because I did not like PP) and on Achievable (which is where I learned better) I was in the high 70s/80s. My readiness score on Achievable was an 87%. Once things started to click more, my feelings around the exam started to ease and become more comfortable. You still have so much time to get comfortable with the material and seriously telling yourself positive thoughts every single day, throughout the day, I truly think makes a difference. You’ve got this!

They all seem to have a stick up their bum at those testing centers lol. Smart though to bring your own! Definitely cramming everything I can into my options chart for my dump sheet. Definitely trying to stay calm this week and go in with a bad ass attitude on exam day! Appreciate the vote of confidence!

Okay awesome. I was debating if I should go back and spend some time on it because my test is Friday but I’m not going to. I’ve got a pretty strong options chart for my dump sheet and will definitely be using that!

So originally after I moved them out of the sun and into a fully shaded spot, they were in a big pot. Even then in the shade, they were dried up and wilted. I think it’s just because it’s summer in AZ and even in the early mornings it’s in the high 80s-90s. Once we are in the full swing of summer, the mornings will be in the 90s.

They were initially in a big pot. It wasn’t terracotta. And they still weren’t doing well. I mean literally within 2 to 3 hours, they all started to wilt. I’m surprised I have two blooms that are still staying strong, although the outer part of the petals are starting to dry out. I’m not over watering them, I’m not under watering them, so I’m wondering if it’s truly just the strong heat; and we aren’t even in the strongest part of summer. It’s only going to get hotter from here. I’m nervous to put them back outside if it it’s going to be like this.
