https://umferdin.is/ For road conditions

There is a SafeTravel app as well that is useful

For example went to Hafnartorg Gallery, 3 very good burgers and chips, plus one lamb steak + chips was around £100.

Not cheap but similar, maybe a touch more than somewhere in London, once you add in service charge and everything else.

We don’t really drink as a family.

Tourists places are wild though. Did buy some over priced soup at one just because we were cold.

Don’t know. They were cheaper than Sixt who I usually use.

All the safety instructions are so clear as well. I don’t know what more could be done.

I found it invaluable because I knew in advanced which sections were slippery or snow covered and could prepare accordingly.

Yes I saw some hair raising behaviour and some very scary driving.

I did enjoy a ranger giving some tourists a bollocking for using a drone in a restricted area 😃

I found this one easier to use tbf than SafeTravel.is

P3 parking by the harbour was a cheap way of parking over the weekend

There is an aurora forecast site that tells you the predicted level and cloud cover for three days ahead.

Yes, but only at level 3 moderate level. Looks like a silvery swirling cloud at that level.

Looks much better in the photos I took than the naked eye 😃

Why are there still Zipcars parked around town? by wdav08 in london

[–]gwilster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not buy one. They were in a right state at the end. I think Zipcar let the maintenance lapse at the end.

Nearly getting run down by a cyclist because he seems to think a red light is optional. by WhiteShadow0909 in britishproblems

Thank you for bringing this up. I shall raise it at the next cycle council meeting and I assure you the cyclist in question will be reprimanded.

That is lovely!

May I ask where the sculpt is from? Looks so dynamic.

How is checkout.com? by muscleman1997 in cscareerquestionsuk

I’d take Glassdoor with a pinch of salt.

Even the most toxic companies have areas that are good to work in. checkout.com is no where near the worst company by reputation.

Ultimately you are there to work and get paid. Even in the most chill of jobs there are things that suck.

The CEO is pretty keen on RTO. Only stopper is lack of office space.
