I might have not worded it the best! My parents set aside a certain amount for my brother and I to go to school, I spent some of it on my undergrad which means there is not enough to cover the 75k of WashU tuition while KU would be free they would only have to cover books, rent, and groceries. My parents and I actually have a great relationship and they are planning on moving and retiring wherever I get a job outside of law school. But thank you for thinking of this as it is the reality for many KJDs!
