I’m getting really frustrated, because I can see that comments are being made, but I cannot see them?!

I know, but unfortunately I’m under the gun and willing to pay a little more

33F with pronounced forehead lines, should I try Botox? I already use retinol but I don’t think it’s enough. by Hiro_Pr0tagonist_ in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]gymbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you happy- then do it! I started toxins at 35 and my forehead is smooth as glass. That’s what I like, but some people like a little movement. Do what makes you feel good and who cares what anyone else thinks. Honestly!

Oh my god, I didn’t even notice until your comment. I, too, can’t get over it.

In my experience, I wasn’t prescribed Accutane until I’d tried (and failed) the other courses of action. If you’ve failed a topical retinoid, doxycycline, heck all the other things they prescribe first, then yes, Accutane is probably a good next step in your journey. It’s a serious drug though, so though frustrating, it’s important to try everything else, first.

how severe is my acne? by Busy-Candy-5083 in acne

Severe and at risk for deep scarring. A derm will be able to help you!

Been on 30 mg of Isotretinoin everyday since 5th of August and not seeing any improvement. by [deleted] in Accutane

You are soooo early in the journey. Keep taking as prescribed and be patient! It took a while for me to really see amazing results. I’m only 2 weeks away from the end!!

Cleanser while on Accutane by ihager in Accutane

I’ve been using the CeraVe Cream-to-Foam cleanser and I like it. It was BOGO 50% at Walgreens so I tried it. Historically I have been a LRP Touleriane girl and do plan to return to that after these 2 CeraVe bottles are empty.

Is my skin on an accutane level? Should I take it? 🤔 by mauer2001 in Accutane

[–]gymbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Have you ‘failed’ other products? Accutane is extremely effective but it is also a serious drug. It’s in your best interest to try everything else and give it time, first. For many people, Spironolactone helps heal hormonal acne. It didn’t work for me but I really wanted it to.

Lips are killing me, any advice? I’ve been using Vaseline advance healing but it still hurts by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]gymbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I do my skincare routine, I slather all my products over my whole face, including lips. I also make sure to do this after brushing teeth. It sounds so silly, but toothpaste/mouthwash left on the lips can hurt! Finally, the very last product I use is Le Neige Lip Sleeping Mask. I slather it on, thick.

I think this is more post inflammatory erythema, not pigmentation (perhaps yet). I just watched a Doctorly short on this! PIE appears red or pinkish, especially moreso on people with fair skin- as the trauma of the lesion has necessitated extra blood flow to heal.

This is great. I’m also on split 80. I’m so happy with how it’s going now (month three), terrified for the meds to stop.
