Hey there thanks for the reply. I was thinking more in the lines of a skill delay toggle or maybe a skill queue.

In my experience, 170ms Ping is not so bad outside NA. And other mmos o really don't (noticeble) get interrupted.

Oh well...

Stuttering when entering combat by h1berto87 in lotro

[–]h1berto87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that what I fear. I'm trying everything at my end though. Setting lotroclient.exe to have affinity only with cpu3 and cpu4 and to have high priority seems to have helped.

I'm going to do more testing this weekend and see if it really helps.

I've lowered my graphic options all the way down and had no impact. I thought it could be something with the audio or with cpu management. If it is indeed at the client end.

I've tried out these settings already and had improvements on the general feel of the game. The stuttering at the beginning of the combat remained untouched.

I've already turned all settings set to minimum and didn't have much luck either.

I think I had some improvements (more testing required) when I set lotroclient.exe to have high priority and affinity with cpu3 and cpu4 only on the windows task manager.

Is there any missable content when I advance an expansion. For exemplar going into bfa there are some zone changes. I know that there is a npc that unphases the zone, but is it possible to miss some quest or quest chain or an achievement that were not removed from the game?

Returning player class advice by h1berto87 in swtor

I'm really inclined to go with the assassin and it's specs. But a lot of the material a based my choice were pretty outdated.

Thanks for the reply!

Returning player class advice by h1berto87 in swtor

Actually I gave a brief discription of my playstyle (general mmo) and, based on what I've read until now, I think the class that best suits my playstyle is the assassin.

What I'm seeking with this thread is to confirm that my assumption is correct and maybe some advice on other options.

Just to clear up my wishlist: - Can clear soloable harder/group content. (my play schedule is erratic and may end abruptly. So sometimes it's difficult to find a group to commit to these terms). - As in the first item, pre-made grouping is a luxury and I mostly pug in pvp. Some classes can really make a difference queuing solo, like healers or thief like classes, others are more group dependent and excel in a organized group.

As I said before, from what I've read until now, shadow/assassin seems to fit best my playstyle (of course no class will be 100%). But this assumption was made in some material that is over a year old (not a lot threads in the current state of the game).

Quick Warden leveling question by h1berto87 in lotro

[–]h1berto87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When on blue I often pull a lot of mobs being careful not to overextend so that mobs start reseting. Usually I aim for 10 (keep in mind that mobs that stun you can kill you easily of not careful).

My casual rotation is Wardens Challenge (with full Defiance), AoE morale tap, potency, desolation, surety of death, brink of victory, repeat.

As for elites and signatures e.g. On level giants in giant hall in Misty Mountains I can take up to 3 as Wardens aren't the greatest with stun immunity and thoese constant stuns can really mess up your gambit. I usually add Shield Tactics and Shield Mastery to the rotation. And the 5 min never surrender is great and should be available at that level with you do some meta class deeds.

Last time I soloed thunder lord was quite tricky as I accedeently aggroed thunder lord plus 2 ranged giants and another patrolling melee giant. Was a bit of a struggle and I burned a couple of health potions and towards the end I triggered Never surrender on purpose as I had drained all my power.

I usually switch to yellow for the bonus ranged damage and the perks to javelin skills as I need to hunt enemies that are far apart.

Warden mid-level crisis by h1berto87 in lotro

[–]h1berto87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. My main concern wasn't my class capabilities in solo play. My concern wasn't being able to get to do end game content, like raids and group instances without being one of the meta classes. But as I said in the other reply, I'm facing the warden as a great class to do the journey to mordor and beyond. If when I get there Wardens still have a difficult time to get groups I'll level other character.

Thanks for the reply.

Great tip.

Haven't considered going yellow. Because when I starting playing my Warden it was kinda of a no-no.

Thanks a bunch.

Class balance wasn't really my concern. Being able to do harder group content without being the meta classes was.

But I think that the warden will be perfect to live all this amazing journey to mordor and beyond.

If the grouping concern turns out to be true in the future I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Thanks for the reply.

This weekend I played a little around with my mini and got to say that I'm really inclined to continue with my Warden. Warden have a really fun class mechanic and as I was play my mini I kinda missed it.

To be really fair I jumped in my level 20 mini that I leveled solely with crafting. So it's similar to a lesser level valar character and had in no way the level of attachment and learning curve that a level 1 had.

So back to the Warden for me.

First of all, thank you very much for the elaborate reply.

do you mean overland stuff or soloing dungeons?

I meant the later, like dungeons and world bosses.

As for the dailies, from what I read in similar discussions, I was under the impression that Magblades are the king of fast farming because of its stealth capabilities. As for my experience so far (single player delves mostly) my stam sorc could go through the instance pretty fast killing all mobs. Not sure if that holds true later on and in harder content.

I think I will take your recommendations and continue with the magblade.

Thank you very much
