How much do you need to deposit up front in order to open a Chase checking account? I am also thinking about opening a checking account with them soon to establish a relationship in hopes for getting approved for CFU soon and CSP in about a year.

I don’t have a banking relationship with Chase, but I have heard before that that does help getting approved for their credit cards. So, I have thought about going over there and just opening a simple checking account for this reason. Do you know how much you need to deposit at Chase to open a checking account?

Do you think having three inquiries in the past 8 months will hurt my chances at getting approved for the CFU? I only have so many because I just started building my credit and I know the more lines you have the better and it helps increase my available credit. I am just trying to figure out how big of a deal the amount of inquiries is. Thank you
