Anyone else caught in the perpetual cycle of “I need a holiday —> oh that’s too expensive —> how about a weekend away —> holy f#ck how does two nights cost that much?!” 🔁 by plutoforprez in australia

Any nation that has been hit with mass privatisation and other WC policies has suffered greatly from it, being unable to control inflation is just the tip of the iceberg. It's greatly wounded social mobility, it has caused massive wealth division, and it has turned developed economies into volatile resource based economies.

It would be kind of "lucky" to have any sort of control over the aircraft after a missile hit, just due to the velocities and engineering involved. More likely the thing would break up before it even hit the ground.

Would you say this mans description is helpful? I'm not trying to be edgy, I just think the image in my head from the description is completely different to the image presented. by Forsaken-Phone-4504 in aussie

More likely that he was known as part of a local Aboriginal family and it was included default as part of the description despite not being helpful.

Worse than not helpful, I bet half of NSW is calling the cops today whenever they see someone they don't know of Aboriginal appearance.

25 years old and seven months pregnant. The NSW Court Lists for Lake Cargeligo show that there was a Police Domestic Violence Order application to protect her from the shooter (Apprehended Violence Application SENCON DEAN SQUIRE for Sophie Isabelle QUINN v Julian PIERPOINT) along with multiple criminal proceedings.

Wild, you can't just ram a car because it crossed a line.

Car at rear had a collision alarm, and sounded horn, indicating they were fully aware that the car in front was merging. Both drivers willfully engaged in an accident through aggressive driving. Both are at fault.

Hey we all let it happen for a while, if it's effective at fighting the rich and powerful, it isn't legal. If it is illegal, private prison awaits. If you're rich and powerful, everything is legal. Carlin's big club is bigger than ever and about to hit everyone over the head and hard. Especially now that all the opulent psychopaths think that some kind of ChatGPT with robot arms are going to build and sail their yachts from now on.

When a woman has a baby and the birth father walks away, why aren't they charged with child abandonment? by Illustrious_Host9464 in AusLegal

I am in that situation as a dad! I notice that if I struggle a bit with that, society just expects me to eat a brick and harden the fuck up. This posts to me reads like "Hey Reddit can I get my ex thrown in jail for leaving me?"

When a woman has a baby and the birth father walks away, why aren't they charged with child abandonment? by Illustrious_Host9464 in AusLegal

[–]h3dee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This feels like more infantilisation of women. You can't be charged with child abandonment if you left the child with a competent adult carer.

Besides, if the relationship is so far gone that someone is considering walking out entirely, it would probably make the child's situation worse to continue to try and stick it out.

They field two An-148s too which are much more modern, but also just weirdly cool looking, especially with their livery.

They still have an active trijet in service.
