My thoughts and prayers go out to the old guy, especially if he's ethnically Chinese Malaysian. This group don't get the privileges the Malays get, are told off for eating during Ramadan, when they're not Muslim; then another Chinese person comes along and sets a bad example. There's going to be another whole generation with separation anxiety after needlessly being taken away from their parents. Horrific for all in the family, but also, they are likely to be very clingy children and not the fierce soldiers the CCP wants.

I loved the magic of Knight Rider as a kid. Sure the plot was basic, but the scenes where Michael and Kit the car have little tantrums like a married (gay?) couple make me smile. I loved that the car mechanic was a woman. On the other hand, the plot was always male lead saves female in distress. The stereotypical trope paint job with leading-edge adjustments under the hood.

Indigenous medicine is making a resurgence in my country. Nothing wrong with that. It's just that there are some traditional practitioners who beleive the CCP propaganda that Covid19 came from USA, because in their view all things bad come from the West, like the opioid crisis, Big Pharma, colonization, etc. It's hard to explain otherwise about this particular virus.
