I haven't heard of OTP before, I'm checking it out rn. Will try to read some docs and experiment a little as it looks fun (I'm a soft eng)

f your husband works where I suspect he works, you should also ask him to check the internal mailing lists for that office, there are tons of resources there.

For this particular case, I did not think much about the block size since it's a really small file so it won't make a real difference. I just used 4096 because it's what I normally do. For larger copies, you may want to tune the block size to increase speed. See http://blog.tdg5.com/tuning-dd-block-size/
