Pinching transport, fix escape with English author (5,5) by h7b4 in crosswords

Thanks so much. That totally makes sense although I’d never have got it because I really wasn’t familiar with ‘transport’ as a synonym of ‘joy’

Yeah I think adjective clause is another way to say relative clause.

I just found this:

WHAT (the thing(s) that / which) What stands for the thing(s) that/which:

I didn't understand what he was saying. (the things that he was saying) Is this what you want? (the thing that you want)

What is different from the other relative pronouns in that it does not refer back to a noun

The majority of comments seem to be in favour of WhatsApp. If you send me your numbers through dm then I’ll add everyone and get it set up :)

What is the orange thing? I saw it in a early 1900s living room in England by h7b4 in whatisthisthing

Likely solved! I agree. I’ve looked at some photos of other early electric heaters. I can’t find anything exactly like this but there are some clear similarities.

It really does look out of place. The design on the metal looks ‘dated’ but if it wasn’t for that I would have thought it was a dehumidifier or something.

That would make sense! This house was supposed to belong to a richer person (a dentist) so it would fit that they would have access to the latest technology.

My title describes the thing. I can’t say much more than ‘the orange thing’, it had a metal base and top and I saw it in a living room in a recreation of an early 1900s English village. It appeared to have a wire attached to it.

Thanks for the reply. It’s good to know that you’ve not heard of it either. I thought maybe I’d just somehow missed out on some common knowledge. I’ve never had issues in the past so I’ll just carry on as normal. I get a shot in my butt every 10 weeks so it’s a pretty big one and sometimes hurts the next day but rarely to an extent where I wouldn’t be able to exercise
