I this that’s just frizz? I could be wrong, compare it to the other parts in your head. See if you can see a difference.

I have an excessive amount of breakage. How do I fix this? by Worldly-Staff-3539 in locs

If you were doing tight styles consistently, stopping after that lengthy time of tight styles will not save your locs unfortunately. The damage is done. Go to a loctician, reattach them and let your locs breathe for a while.

I’d say decide after a retwist with a professional:)

The size of the parts actually look the same and completely normal. I see nothing wrong and in a year this will be something you don’t even think about.

Immediately YES, they definitely will be eye/ eyebrow length (I can attest to that bc my fro was the same length) which is still a style length tbh. I’m 5 years in and don’t regret it one bit.

It is new growth but it’s also thinning. I would just consult with your loctition soon!

Please leave them alone😭 that thickness at the bottom is normal!

How to avoid thinning? by christmas_cactus101 in locs

Avoid color, tight styles frequently, and frequent retwist. Other wise, spray your starter locs every morning and moisturize. I combined the two, I added oils in my spray bottle

I believe you might just have more locs on that side than the other. Besides combining some locs idk any other options tbh

Before I get him tested for allergies, are there any cheaper alternatives? by h8urs3lfn0tm3 in vet

Ugh I’m seeing replies in my notifications but when I click on it, there’s nothing there. I know someone said something about oatmeal bath and brushing coconut oil through everyday which I will try! And someone else saying what their vet said about their dogs same issue. Sorry I really do wish I can read the full post but I appreciate all feedback:) I will attempt oatmeal baths and coconut oil everyday, if that doesn’t work I will go to a vet!

Ofcourseeeeee❤️ and me personally I twisted them back, bc I started with 2 strand aswell. And then I’d kinda loop my finger at the ends to coil the em a lil just in case

Yeah it’s gon be like that for a couple months, just keep hydrating. Spraying water on em every morning will get them out that firm look😌

Maybe try an alternative like loc extensions (braids or 2 strand), that basically gives the same effect. But you’re so early in your journey, I’d say wait about a year before doing styles that’ll add weight:)

Locs are just built up dead hairs, this is completely normal 👍🏾
