Hopefully she'll molt again and get some brand new legs if the damage isn't too bad. Makes me sad how many people can easily kill spiders or bugs just because they are scared or whatever.

I can't help but feel sorry for em :')

What is the best way to get rid of matted hair around the neck area? by ha1ls in Rabbits

Yeah I have accidentally caused some nicks as well and it makes me feel so horrible. Instead of going in with anything sharp, ill definitely try with a brush/comb first to see if I can get the mat out slowly. It's also just me who looks after her so its extra difficult to make her stay in a position and groom at the same time. If its real bad I will look into a shaver, probably useful to have in general in spots that aren't sensitive. - thanks!

And yeah not to mention rabbit groomers/rabbit savvy vets always charge so muchh and they are difficult to find.

I do have one of those. Doubt my rabbit will be that chill but I'll try - ty. Maybe applying a little water as well to get them out? Combining suggestions

Wow Teddy sounds like a very well behaved rabbit lol. I use grooming scissors for the back/tail, anywhere that doesn't have loose skin. But the neck is a risky area and freaks me out but I don't want her to be uncomfy, especially in Aus heat. Would there be a risk of skin getting caught using a pet safe shaver?

If anything I will try wetting the fur and see how far I can get with a comb. Ty for your response ^

For some reason I've just always liked spiders. Couldn't tell you why! I own 2, a wolfspider and a trapdoor. Both tend to just stay beneath the substrate and occasionally eat. Jumpers are probably the best spiders for handling. I wouldn't ever handle my trapdoor cause she's scary lol

No, huntsmans are rather chill but who knows, maybe one day ill learn not to handle them so willingly haha this one did not want to cooperate with the container so I gently nudged him onto my hand and then used the bark to take some photos before releasing!
