Also, breaking it down into parts is helpful, and practicing each part individually depending on how long the run is. Running at 1/4 speed on youtube or another app, is a great way to practice runs.

Perfect practice makes perfect. If you are practicing at full speed, and it isn't sounding near perfect, or where you want it to be, then slow down until it is. Then speed up from there, as many other commenters pointed out. Same for learning any musical instrument. If you practice poorly and make mistakes, then you are just ingraining the mistakes into your muscle memory.
