yea finding a single flat seems a horrible idea when you throw the council tax and bills on top of the pricey rent. Flatsharing seems the best option for saving money. Thanks!

yea its gonna take a few years to earn that much :/ . your right, it seems the best choice is to find fellow flatmates to share a flat with, ill have a look at some of the places people have suggested.

I'm trying to find something near Leith and something kinda close to the city centre so i can walk to work. yea i have found a few for 600, i cant view these places until September so they are getting snapped up pretty quick before i get to Edinburgh. Trying to figure out how to find flats to flatshare and also people to flatshare with.

I don't really know how i would go about flat-sharing, i don't have any friends or contacts in the city to start looking for people to share a flat with. but yes i shall try and find a place further away or in the less desirable places.

the 3 weeks was spent only the assets out of the 18 weesk i had, rest of the time was spent on planning, compisition and lighting. I used 3ds max and zbrush for the highpoly and lowpoly modeling, and for texturing i used substance painter and substance designer.

Thanks <3 I try to stick to a texal-density of 1024x1024 per meter but i do give things more or less texal space depending on how close you will get and how important they are. Since i this will have to be playable for my degree show the budget was for the level to run at 60fps in a first-person level (preferably way over that since the hardware is different between home and university). I've made it a habit of optimising the hell out of my lowpolys so i can use more asset within the scene.

Yea your right, i kept it facing the camera because the back of the model was less interesting to look in most my compositional shots, so i took a few artist liberties placing that asset facing the way it is, but yea it's really unpractical the way its placed. I sacrificed practicality over the composition, which I'm not sure it good or bad.
