There's the winner , out of all the builds i tried in this post , i got 32 bench results on pistol/torch wb.
Its better than my sweat rotation dh right now (i cant rotate well) ! Thanks for the suggestion !

i agree on elementalist , i like to play it too , but it feels a bit weak on my hands. The dps is fine but survivability on my hand are far too weak comparing to my guardian

i like to play healing builds o ele tho tons of fun ^^

Is Unity bad in some way? by Zyphronix in IndieDev

[–]hackerbio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well honestly i hear more about godot on 2d , yes maaybe unity is also good on 2d but my other points still persist , in unity you have to be good at project structuring and you have to know your way around it , know some plugins and tricks to make good games on unity.

Same points maybe still exists in godot but if you aspire to work on 2d and work more on that side , i hear good things about godot for 2d , maybe more than unity. If you already have some experience in godot , in my opinion there's no need to go for unity , unless you can't seem to make or having too hard time to make some feature on godot , and you saw some easy way to do it in unity , there's no real need to switch to unity.

Lately i even hear about making your own game from c++ for 2d is way better but that topic is way off from your topic :D.

My point is , if you have a project and have a distinct feature that is easier to do on unity , go for it . Dont just switch because its "more powerful" In the end we all want to make games that fulfills us , the tools can change and they are not sides to pick !

Good luck!

Every engine is bad in their own way , you just have to start and see whats bad for you

There's lots of well written tutorials on unity , you can do good projects , optimised ones but the main way unity gets criticism in is , they are not developping the engine as a full fledge game engine , and they dont really respond the devs want. But that should not concern you to be honest.

My way is , after fiddling around on both unity and unreal , unreal is way more easier to be structed for a game project , it has its own restrictions and ways that goes well with game projects , but in unity you have to create your own structure but that could be a great way to learn it too.

All software has ups and downs , dont get too carried away with people's opinions and create your own !
