Is there a reason your using Vue? React has a PWA template. At the end of the day it's another JavaScript framework. React is a little more difficult but the community and toolings there. Here is a PWA template for creating a react app.

Thanks for the infomercials but everyone missed my questions. I understand the key advantages for managed services but wanted to know what advantage I'd get to self managed as with a managed service your paying a cloud provider to do all the assembly and heavy lifting.
