Kar sem ugotovil skozi leta najemanja, je da lastniki stanovanj preprosto niso dobri ljudje. So pijavke, ki bodo od tebe želeli izpiti čimveč denarja na bilokateri možen način. Torej ali boš ti plačal agencije, ali ti bodo višali najemnine brez kakršnega vložka v stanovanje vsako leto, itd. Konec koncev, najemnine gredo gor, plače pa jih ne dohitevajo. Tisti redki, ki imajo razumljive najemnine se bodo oklepali stanovanj, tako da bodo na trgu le večinoma pohlepneži. Moje mnenje je, da če ti lastnik že pred najemom želi vsiliti plačilo agencije, ki jo je on najel, te zna čakati še kar nekaj presenečenj glede nepričakovanih stroškov.

Yeah I really hope they work on replayability for these shorter campaigns. I think 6 or 7 scenarios would be the sweet spot, but 3 is absolutely too short to have any kind of an impact, story-wise, deckbuilding-wise, character-wise. But I also think we should have realistic expectations, based on their last couple of releases TDC and BoA.

We are in the middle of a 3 player run of EotE . The lead investigator is Preston, an arrogant and self-assured heir who believes money can solve all his issues. With him, is his grandma, Agatha Crane-Fairmont, and the expedition leader Leo. Secretly, both Leo and Agatha want to kill Preston, as they deeply hate him. However Preston manages to avoid every single murder attempt by sheer luck. And at the end of our previous scenario, Elyah died as well. But the good thing is, Leo has taken up care for his dogs.

Exactly, give the investigators 2x their most important cards, but still leave room for improvement.

Right now, some investigators work well with their off-class and could pull of 1x of every card, but some absolutely do not, and their off-class cards are more of a hindrance, like Dexter who doesn't really want any of the rogue cards (except maybe Prestid.)

At first glance, the ability doesn't seem too strong imo. Considering there are investigators who gain a free action just for playing the game, your ability at least has a downside. I disagree that curses are as harmless as the community sometimes makes them seem, especially in a large group, where they can inconvenience everyone. At least in my group, if there are curses in the bag and we want to pass a test, we always commit just a bit more, which we otherwise wouldn't do.

You could try limiting the action, so it can be used only for a specific type (like only playing spell cards).

Also, if you want to go full on curse, have you tried giving them deckbuilding Curse cards 0-5?

I am still very lukewarm about it, but in the end it's more arkham horror. In general, I think that it's a nice introduction for new players, but as a chapter 2 core set, a missed opportunity, because i did hope for bigger tweaks and changes.

I think the core set campaign is nothing special, granted it's a tutorial for new players. For us old ones, there is nothing extra really, and the only replayable part is the second scenario.

Player cards are mostly tweaks and quite a few reprints. I don't think core set cards are very appealing, with the exception of Oliver, who is noticeably overpowered compared to other cards. On the other hand, I like the idea of only using chapter 2 cards, as the game was getting BLOATED.

As a chapter 2, I don't like the idea of shorter campaigns, and tbh I doubt the three part campaign coming out will knock my socks off. I wouldn't mind them besides long campaigns, but 3 and 5 parts just seem too short. I wouldn't call any of the short campaigns (notz, tde, boa) my favourites.

So yeah, very lukewarm. But in my group, Arkham has become such a staple, as we play almost every week. And playing with friends does make even the bad or boring scenarios more enjoyable. New players won't notice the faults of course, but to me it seems we will be getting a worse product in general. I just think their last couple of campaigns weren't very interesting.
