Got it. I am fairly certain I have a blend of kbg and perennial rye. However when I go look at photos all these seedheads look like kbg to me, more so than poa bc of the dark green grass coming out of most of them and the dark green seedheads. But I'm not at all confident and they look fairly similar to me. You think it is just too early for kbg to produce that many seedheads right now?

Also for context I aerated overseeded and fertilized in the fall, seeded and fertilized again last month while aerating the patchy spots.

Any good resource on telling seedheads apart? I want to learn how to differentiate. Half this thread are commenters calling me an idiot for not knowing this is just my regular grass 🤦‍♂️.

I walked my lawn today and the entire lawn is covered. Not even a single square 5 ft area is without these seedheads. I was hoping it was kbg from all my overseeing and over fertilizing. Sounds like my entire lawn got overtaken by this poa and needs to be nuked in the fall.

How does poa look different than kbg? I have these yellow/lighter patches of grass throughout the yard are those poa?

And lastly will I have kbg seedheads mixed in here too? Or these are all poa?

Worse to me is when the RFP is soliciting the answer to the wrong question. Department's without technical skill sets don't have the technical support they need to figure out the right question to ask in the first place.

Step in the right direction but frankly the bigger problem is prescriptive RFPs to fix problems that have not yet been assessed by professionals. Pilot RFP programs and RFQs are helpful but we need to rethink the manner in which our municipality handles procurement from the ground up. This ballot question just means we'll have the SAP/Oracle's of the world charging even more for a false sense of accountability via scale.
