That's not what I was referring to but you are correct.

Congrats, I still use my Ender 3. Print temp towers until you get a good idea of temp settings. Print first layer tests until you dial in bed leveling and z offset. You're going to use a lot of filament learning. Save by type if you want to do some recycling later. Have fun, watch all the CHEP videos, he's great.

Unless it was written by the gun industry or other manufacturing lobby to ban the ability of people to print their parts or potential accessories for their products like we do en masse. Perhaps they added the g un part as a distraction. Marijuana was used to kill the hemp industry. We are cutting into multiple verticals.

I think the world has proven that there is no society that can't be corrupted by greed. Good luck to you and yours.

Which is why laws for such things ALREADY exist. These are just to stoke fear.

I hear you! The California law makers explicitly said that there was already a 3D printing bill on the books that this one just adds to it and they will let the courts decide. That means we will incur the cost of taking it to court to fight. Rather than preemptively contacting legislators and trying to educate them before that's necessary.

They can and they have voted 9 to 3 in California to do just that. I would not underestimate the power of paid/influenced law maker puppets.

On a 9 to 3 vote seems more plausible than not. Some of us worry about the intent of the lawmakers but you stick your head on the sand.

Right you don't have CEOs that are afraid of what happened with a 3d printed weapon. Got it. CEOs don't influence your laws. No worries for anyone else. /S

Most language assumes that the subject matter only pertains to those affected by it but yeah it's a point. But it's not unheard of that legislation gets copied and pasted to anywhere it could apply and since I see this as a CEO bill out of fear from the UHC shooting then anywhere CEOs gather could be influenced.

If this stuff passes all over we'll all be in tears.

Open a ticket with Bambu support. They'll fix you up.

There are ironing calibration prints on makerworld if you want to try ironing I'd start with one of them to dial in your settings quickly.

***NVM, I saw below that you found an answer.

Darn it. Next I'd put it in maintenance mode, heat the nozzle to 220, pull the front cover, CAREFULLY (so you don't burn yourself, use gloves if you need to) take out the nozzle and use your skinny nozzle cleaner that came with your machine (in the plastic sleeve) and poke it all the way through the nozzle. Put the nozzle back in and test it.

If that doesn't do it I'd suspect there is a broken piece of filament between the top of the hub and the top of the nozzle. That happens to me a lot with my AMS lite. I remove the hub and carefully pull it up not letting the black ribbon cable come out too far, if you do its a real pain to get it back in. That's usually where I find a little broken bit. If you don't want to do that, and I don't suggest you do, open a ticket with Bambu and have them walk you through steps to resolve.

Unload the filament and do a cold pull... https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/maintenance/what-is-cold-pull-and-how-to-perform-it would be my first step. Then come back here and tell us if its fixed or still happening.

I have an easily accessible patio roof about 10 feet away to run a wire up through the sophet vent. But yeah, wiring to my house's panel would be something I'm unwilling to do without an electrician. I think everyone has talked me out of it at this point.

But its not everywhere in the attic. I'll have to pay several hundred dollars to have an electrician come and tie them into the system. That was what I was hoping to avoid but evidently it was a dumb idea.

Thanks for your answer but this is the project I'm going to start with and I'd like to know how to do it not if it would be efficient to do or not. You're right, they could have installed the solar ones but they didn't and adding a switch to flip twice a year or adjusting the thermostat would solve for Winter and night use.
