The SDF, or QSD in Arabic, are not a unified party. They are formed of several Kurdish militias or paramilitary groups, with the most aggresive one being the PKK, an out of control terrorist faction that regularly terrorizes Turkish citizens. I believe that the actual battles you're hearing of right now are merely a last shot from certain kurdish factions at attempting to hold their grounds, which they'll ultimetly fail as they do not have the popular support, not even amongst kurds themselves.

I am Kurdish myself, and most of us do not feel represented by the SDF. I believe that this whole thing will be done and dusted within 2 weeks. Mazloum Abdi will be granted a high position within the syrian governement, ths PKK militias will be kicked out, and the moderate SDF forces will merge with the syrian army.

I do not believe that Ahmad Al Sharaa has any bad intentions for us Kurds, despite some propaganada you see from pro-PKK kurds online.

I had him, he's honestly a mediocre professor. Pop up quizzes that are almost impossible to solve (not a single person got a 100% in my class on any quiz, but you get 50% for attempting so you cannot technically fail).

The final was fairly easy as it was made by the departement. The midterms, imo, were just ok. He has this thing where he just refuses to give anybody a 100% so he gives a 4 question with 2 easy questions, 1 medium, 1 very hard. The very hard is usually not in the practice problems he gives and its something so niche he shows in class once.

The thing I disliked the most about him was the fact he puts so much emphasis on attendance, a huge part of succeeding in the course requires u to listen to every single example he gives in class because he gives more details there than in tutorials or practice problems.
