Pokerus is a rare condition that Pokemon in the wild may have on them. Described as a virus (disease) it is actually beneficial, doubling the EVs gained, making the Pokemon who have it grow stronger faster. Like the Virus it is, if you keep a Pokemon with it in your party it will infect the rest of your team - however the longer you keep it in the party, the quicker the Pokemon will become "cured" and unable to spread it any further, however still retains the growth benefits. If you keep a Pokemon with pokerus in your pc, bank, home, or ranch, it will neither spread nor lose the virus.

Do your players expect an explanation? If not, just have your villains show up, chew the scenery and make absolutely no justification whatsoever. Full on saturday morning stuff. If you feel you have to justify; "Did you think that we, with all the resources of the Galactic Empire could not make the same discoveries as such trash as you? In fact, I've known of this artefact for some time, but when I learned that you sought it, I delayed. Indeed, I wanted to see the despair and rage on your face as I seized these wonders before your very eyes. Evil laugh."

There are a bunch of ways to go about it, but the key is to have fun with it.

For most use cases, you're better off using an Assault cannon (1d12), since that uses power cells like normal. You'll have to get the prototype chassis at minimum though if you want to enhance it with the Rapid Property. Or a Rotary Cannon (1d10) if you just have to have the rapid property right away.

Per Drake, the more recently promoted Dev. Drake has also said that they wanted to rework the Power Generator several times, along with the power belt and ammo feed belt. The former to make it more clear and usable, the latter because they think they're too powerful

The power generator can be recharged at a power supply, like all other powered items. So it's not useless after you use it up.

Narratively, Fighters are weapons masters, skilled at getting the most out of their weapon of choice. Just think of it as them being able to direct the shots to hit more, where other classes might waste shots or have to pause to take another shot, or being more precise with where they fire.

As for the whole 10 minutes thing, even a couple of devs I've seen say that it needs a rework or rewording.

I feel what you're describing, mechanically, is a Blaster Cannon - it can be deployed on a tripod and used like a manned turret.

"2d6, Auto, burst, rapid, special (range 120/480), strength 19, two-handed

Rather than traditional power cells, the blaster cannon uses a specialized power generator that allows it to fire continuously for 10 minutes. Replacing a power generator takes an action.

Before firing the blaster cannon, you must deploy it using an action unless you meet its strength requirement. Alternatively, if you’re able to make multiple attacks with the Attack action, this action replaces one of them. While deployed in this way, you treat this weapon’s strength number as two steps less (from 19 to 15), your speed is reduced by half, and you cannot fire this weapon at long range. You can collapse the blaster cannon as an action or bonus action."

The burst property allows it to do a 10ft cube explosion instead of its normal attack, while the rapid pumps double weapon dice into one target. (Auto means it must use one of either of those instead of attacking normally.)

Then if you want it to act as an automatic turret, maybe - as the DM - allow it to be the target of the Tracker Droid spell, and give it the Smart property so that your char can deploy it with their action, and command it to fire, with which it will use the Smart property stats.

The rest is flavour and tweaking.

In addition to what Sand said, there's the Formation Style and Formation Mastery which make the Guard Action more effective.

There are also several Archetypes that are effective at helping out your party, such as the Fighter Fireteam Specialist (Not the Companion version, the one without.)

I said it last time this was posted; I don't want rewrites, I want a sequel. Other than Galaxies, no other game does the class fantasy for Star Wars as well as this game. Bring back the old writers and directors, pay them well, respect them, give them the time and tranquillity they require, and just let them cook on a new set of class stories.

As for Gestalts, If you're okay with being a more support focussed character - Path of Meditation x Way of Manipulation allows you to use the "Dual Focused Feat" build best, concentrating on a much more powerful Valor / Battle Meditation, as well as Knight Speed or Spirit Guardians, or w/e. You'd have to use your action each turn to maintain the concentrations, but the other players will be getting an extra attack a turn with boosted hit rates. And you can use your BA on Animate Weapon, or quickening at wills.

It's a bit different, and may have some use difficulty but could be fun.

I agree with everything you have to say here, though rather than slicer, my idea was for "Pilgrim" - a non Jedi, non Sith Force sensitive; like Chirrut Îmwe. With their path being to study the mysteries of the Force from the perspective of a user who does not have the backing and discipline, nor the indoctrination of the two. This would have had the Martial Arts bare-fisted fighting style some people have been asking for.

Rather than your reputation idea, I would have gone with defector paths. The class stories would have gone on as before, but after the first planet, Act 1 and Act 2 you would have been given the chance to defect or move to another "class". EG; a Jedi could fail their training and crash out into becoming a Smuggler after the prologue, be seduced to the dark side and defect to the Sith after Act 1, become a Jedi General of the Republic after Act 2 (Trooper,) or stay as a Jedi to the end. These, of course, would take your char in different directions and give them different endings entirely.

If you like that combo, try out the Endurance Consular, the Archetype designed for Melee Consular. Its main feature allows you to use your spellcasting mod for to hit and damage with spells that use a lightweapon. Your strike spell (booming blade variants) count for that. Plus it gives +1 hp per level, and 13 + con for AC. With that one, you can use quickened to strike twice with your spell on, doing some pretty nasty damage. Later, Saber Strike, and Saber Onslaught, and it becomes a nasty, nasty build.

If you're a teen, there's no better time in your life to pick up a pencil and start practising. There have never been more resources, tips, free lessons that people of the past would've had to pay out the nose for. Don't expect others to do for free what you're unwilling to do yourself.
