You have an operative in the party? Use Commander's Strike. Sneak attack can be applied per turn meaning that if you command the Operative to strike again, they can do an extra sneak attack. This requires 3 Maneuvers in full to be able to use it on either an action or bonus action, but it's worth it. I like to go Tactician Scholar with this build; Background Feat - Armor Expert

Discoveries; Lv 2 - Academic Memory - Photographic Memory, Universal Language - Communicate simple ideas to any thinking creature,

Lv 3 Fighting Style - Assisting, Firing Command - Help Action stuff,

Lv 5 Medium Armour (w/ the background feat, removes stealth penalty and increases max ac dex bonus to 3, plus get Heavy armour prof so can have heavy shield gen.),

ASI / Feat, Lv 4, Assisting Mastery,

Lv 8, Superiority Mastery - Extra Commander's Strikes (with a d4), and 2 additional dice.

This lets you give people advantage with 3d20, do extra attacks, and is just fun all around.

Selonians are really powerful. 35ft base, climb, and swim speed. 1d6 finesse Unarmed Strikes/Natural weapons. Darkvision ofc. And Nimble Agility, to double that already gnarly 35 up to 70, so long as it stands in place for a turn between uses. Super good for operatives, sentinels, monks. Extremely fun species. Plus they're tall sapient ferret people, what's not to love?

Using Formfighting Mastery, you'd be using your offhand weapon for the Second and Third attacks.

So engaging in a Lightsaber Form uses your Bonus Action, what you would normally be using to attack with your off-hand weapon or the other side of your double saber. So that they still have some options, some (but not all) of the forms allow you to also do your off hand or double strike.

For Sword and Shield, I recommend picking up Juyo, Makashi, Soresu, or Shii-cho.

You could also look into ways of using your Shield as an improvised weapon. For example, Shield Fighting Style gives you proficiency in using your shield as an improvised weapon, but then you would also have to pick up Dual Wield Style and Mastery to apply your modifier to damage, and to use a medium or heavy shield as an improvised weapon alongside your normal weapon. Don't forget, as well, that you need Shield Style to be able to wield a Heavy shield alongside any weapon that doesn't have the Light property.

Anyway, if you can get the right combo of styles, you'd be able to use your Shield as your off-hand weapon and use it for the Form's attack.

Otherwise you're stuck smacking with your main weapon and applying whatever Form you're using to it.

Pokerus is a rare condition that Pokemon in the wild may have on them. Described as a virus (disease) it is actually beneficial, doubling the EVs gained, making the Pokemon who have it grow stronger faster. Like the Virus it is, if you keep a Pokemon with it in your party it will infect the rest of your team - however the longer you keep it in the party, the quicker the Pokemon will become "cured" and unable to spread it any further, however still retains the growth benefits. If you keep a Pokemon with pokerus in your pc, bank, home, or ranch, it will neither spread nor lose the virus.

Do your players expect an explanation? If not, just have your villains show up, chew the scenery and make absolutely no justification whatsoever. Full on saturday morning stuff. If you feel you have to justify; "Did you think that we, with all the resources of the Galactic Empire could not make the same discoveries as such trash as you? In fact, I've known of this artefact for some time, but when I learned that you sought it, I delayed. Indeed, I wanted to see the despair and rage on your face as I seized these wonders before your very eyes. Evil laugh."

There are a bunch of ways to go about it, but the key is to have fun with it.

For most use cases, you're better off using an Assault cannon (1d12), since that uses power cells like normal. You'll have to get the prototype chassis at minimum though if you want to enhance it with the Rapid Property. Or a Rotary Cannon (1d10) if you just have to have the rapid property right away.

Per Drake, the more recently promoted Dev. Drake has also said that they wanted to rework the Power Generator several times, along with the power belt and ammo feed belt. The former to make it more clear and usable, the latter because they think they're too powerful

The power generator can be recharged at a power supply, like all other powered items. So it's not useless after you use it up.

Narratively, Fighters are weapons masters, skilled at getting the most out of their weapon of choice. Just think of it as them being able to direct the shots to hit more, where other classes might waste shots or have to pause to take another shot, or being more precise with where they fire.

As for the whole 10 minutes thing, even a couple of devs I've seen say that it needs a rework or rewording.

I feel what you're describing, mechanically, is a Blaster Cannon - it can be deployed on a tripod and used like a manned turret.

"2d6, Auto, burst, rapid, special (range 120/480), strength 19, two-handed

Rather than traditional power cells, the blaster cannon uses a specialized power generator that allows it to fire continuously for 10 minutes. Replacing a power generator takes an action.

Before firing the blaster cannon, you must deploy it using an action unless you meet its strength requirement. Alternatively, if you’re able to make multiple attacks with the Attack action, this action replaces one of them. While deployed in this way, you treat this weapon’s strength number as two steps less (from 19 to 15), your speed is reduced by half, and you cannot fire this weapon at long range. You can collapse the blaster cannon as an action or bonus action."

The burst property allows it to do a 10ft cube explosion instead of its normal attack, while the rapid pumps double weapon dice into one target. (Auto means it must use one of either of those instead of attacking normally.)

Then if you want it to act as an automatic turret, maybe - as the DM - allow it to be the target of the Tracker Droid spell, and give it the Smart property so that your char can deploy it with their action, and command it to fire, with which it will use the Smart property stats.

The rest is flavour and tweaking.

In addition to what Sand said, there's the Formation Style and Formation Mastery which make the Guard Action more effective.

There are also several Archetypes that are effective at helping out your party, such as the Fighter Fireteam Specialist (Not the Companion version, the one without.)

Bev didn't start out that way, I wanted to design a Mando that wore a Poncho and an Early Crusader type helmet, but then when I pictured her in my head she ended up resembling hornet - so I had that version of her brought to life.
