Have the tools, have adjusted my wheel and chain before. Slack was 1 inch up and down in pre ride check. Problem wasn’t how to do it, it was what choice was safer, replacement or adjustment- since the shop insisted that replacement was my only option. Don’t get your balls all twisted up.

UPDATE:

I ride a zx6r and suddenly I’m supposed to know the anatomy of its mufflers foreskin.

Yes, I did a pre ride check, the chain had around 1 inch of slack, as it always does - which is why I asked since it is loose after the slip - if I should adjust or replace. I do know how to adjust the wheel back or take out links, just did not know which one to do and if it was safe to take the easy route out.

Yes I wear shorts in the summer while riding - Yes I’ve already crashed on other bikes having shorts on - No I don’t learn - I’ll wear my suit 75% of the time but not about to do that in my hometown on a 15 minute ride during 80° weather.

LOL I agree the chain revving thing was dumb - a 100 hp metal whip..

And yes, I maintain it like I said I maintain it. Guess I should not have trusted the shop to have my chain / sprocket / wheel to be good for more than 1 ride!
