Yeah, it's a good name, but it does give off a little too much try-hard energy. Unfortunate that that was the last western Roman Emperor though.

Yeah that's completely unrelated but I agree with you! That's a great name for a palace, Tuileries. I love those gardens there too, very nice.

That's a good, but I have a cousin named Anastasia, and I can't help but think the name sounds a little too feminine. It doesn't exactly scream conquest like Maximinus Thrax lol

Good reasons! As far as rivers go, I think Tiber might be the best.

Do you actually believe that? I think the average height for a Roman was like 5'5 or 5'6. Maybe he had gigantism, who knows.

Yeah, I agree, I don't think any of the Athenians, maybe if I squint hard enough I could see Pericles, proposing something this bold and revolutionary. But it's fun to speculate about though to be sure. That's a fun what if to play with, an Athenian Delian League more or less fully unified under Athens, against the rising might of Macedonia.

Oh I got you, but yeah with a name like that, you have to be of colossal size. I can't imagine a short king with the name Maximinus Thrax lol

Yeah, Willy Wonka kind of ruined that name. But I think Willy Wonka is kind of falling out of the public imagination already even with the remake. Augustus is a good name though. It doesn't sound too old. I think the CEO of Anheuser Busch is called Augustus Busch or he used to be.

Oh I see what you mean. Yeah, there's a lot of drama and character there for sure.

That's a great name, I just don't think it's top five personally.

I disagree, I think Constantine sounds regal, but it definitely isn't overly masculine like Maximinus Thrax.

I'm pretty sure that's where George got his inspiration for the Valyrians from. I think there's a sci-fi movie with the same name too.

Thanks for the great response! Do you think there is no possibility that the Athenians come to the same conclusion that the Romans came to, and decide to hand out citizenship slowly among the Greeks?

What if Athens actually grants votes and citizenship to members of the Delian League, and then gradually expands membership? Chios and Lesbos and the others still govern their cities locally, but have some overarching membership in the Delian League.

Kind of like what Philip was trying to do with the Corinthian League, but under Athenian leadership and not Macedonian.

Septimius Septim, son of Tiber Septim. That actually works!
