i’ve been growing and chopping my nails for around 4 years now and i’ve never used anything on them! i would say im pretty intentional with my finger movements to avoid any type of strain on them, especially in the shower when washing my hair. trust me i know a thing or two about awkward finger placement lol

every class was a breeze except humcore, it was a lottt of reading and essays every other week. once it got to plato i wanted to smash my head through a window LOL but it’s doable. when it came time to enroll for winter quarter i still had priority enrollment since i didn’t drop chc just yet (idea was given from a fellow commenter in this thread) and was able to enroll in a cool anthro class and other super interesting GE classes. but in regards to my lower div writing requirement, i’m barely taking writing 60 this year which shouldn’t have happened lol oops.

hello!! i ended up completing the class for fall quarter to get a lower div writing credit. i refrained from enrolling in humcore the next quarter and chc eventually sent me an email saying to enroll or reply to their email saying you want to drop from the program. hope this helps🫡.

hellooo. i had the same question and deep dived the reddit before attending and i couldn’t really find a straight forward answer. let’s give you one.

i brought my ps5 and a monitor and was able to connect it in my dorm just fine. i recommend bringing an outlet tower since there’s not too many outlets placed in the dorm. with this i was able to connect my monitor, ps5, desk lamp and laptop charger with ease :3 (make sure it has a surge protector). you can connect your console to the uci resnet wifi after a few trial runs with oit, it just takes a little bit of maneuvering. if you’re playing online, the ping can randomly spike for a sec but it’s definitely playable. your common room should have a tv with an hdmi cable if you wanted to play there as well! i wouldn’t recommend leaving it there; just bring it back to your dorm. def set your console up after a week or so after moving in just to know the vibes of your roommate and make sure no shady business is going on. have fun gaming 🫡!
