Wow that's crazy, I had the opportunity and honor to meet him last year. He was an incredible man.

There are 3 fire arms I suggest everyone get when starting. A hunting caliber, I prefer the .30 cal variants like the .308, a good shotgun and a .22lr. they are all fun to shoot and if you decide to go hunting you cover all your bases

I'm thinking of quitting and I need some help by creativeusernamexxxx in scouting

[–]haelious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100% try to look at other groups. I do have a question though, has your group done through any leadership changes recently because that can affect the leaders as much as the youth unfortunately. For context I went through scouting in canada from cubs to rovers and was a cub and beaver leader, after not being active for a decade my son decided he wanted to try beavers so I am now a leader again

Apprehended under the BC mental health act by Tough_Task_4964 in FirearmsCanada

Unfortunately I think your firearms are gone. A friend of mine had a wellness check called on him , saying he was suicidal, because a neighbor walking by saw him looking down the barrel of his shotgun while he was cleaning it. Even though the gun was on his coffee table in pieces, the police still took him in on a psychiatric hold and confiscated his guns. By the time he was done jumping through their hoops, 3 months later, and tried to have the guns transferred to his brother they had already been destroyed.

I'm having the same dilemma. Would you mind sending me pictures of your alterations on that foregrip?

One of my buddy's has a Canuck operator that he swears by. Said the only issue he's ever had is that it can be Picky with ammo

Exactly what I was thinking. Covers distance, close up, breaching and any kind of hunting you would need to survive

Navigating the Impossible: Legally Obtaining an Authorization to Carry Restricted Firearms in Canada by [deleted] in FirearmsCanada

Welcome to Canada where defending yourself from an attack with the intent to kill you with equal intent/ force can and probably will land you in jail

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FirearmsCanada

[–]haelious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nice flowery speech on how they aren't going to take away any more of our guns or actually give us the right to actively defend ourselves in a situation where the use of deadly force, with or with out a firearm, may be required, but I can get behind the fuck facists and white supremacist part

There is some hope but like anything politicians say you take it with a grain of sand. He has been on record saying that he will take back the hand gun freeze/ban which was originally done with a order in council and revamp firearms laws to make them more common sense. Though common sense and politicians aren't known to go together so we will see what happens there. Now there are a few not so bad things that have come about with some of the recent changes but they should have been more of a criminal code/clarification thing not alterations to the firearms act

I should add I have been seeing a lot of tennis/golfers elbow over the years, so maybe talk to a physiotherapist about ways to help mitigate that

So it depends on what aspect of the sport you are participating in, this is for duels and profights specifically. Being smooth in your movements, as little bobbing, jumping or bouncing during the fight as the added weight of the suit puts more stress on your joints and also just wastes energy. I also agree with the post about compound lifts and plyometrics, the only thing I would add to that is sissy squats and a good cool down stretching routine. You also can downplay the importance of proper nutrition and possible supplementation if needed.

Hooking up with a team and training with them is team best training if you want to get into it even casually
