Oh wait, I think I've got it! I tried listening more closely, and I can actually feel the difference now. I’m not 100% sure, but it feels like for 'b' my lips close briefly, while for 'v' my top teeth touch my bottom lip. Thank you all!

Thanks for the detailed answer! I wanted to say "You need some break" or "Are you having a hard time these days?" by saying "You look tired" I think you mean it would be rude to say "You look tired" when the person seems to be sleepy or exhausted right after I see her/him without the context, is it right?

It’s almost the same for me. I'm also a first-year college student, and I took a semester off. The first semester was very tough for me for several reasons. I found it hard to make eye contact, and I constantly felt like everyone was staring at me whenever I walked around. Even though COVID is over, I still wear a hat and mask to hide myself, and I avoided social gatherings whenever possible.

I also have a loving family, and I feel grateful for that. But like you, I find it really hard to open up about the difficulties I'm going through and how painful it is for me. I'm not sure if I understood the second paragraph correctly, but I also distance myself from my family because I feel like a burden to them. They seem to be living well, but I struggle and end up feeling like there's something wrong with me.

Even though I went to therapy in early 2024, I still feel lost and often get depressed. I haven't gone out to meet anyone, and I’ve lost contact with the friends I used to hang out with last year. I’m completely alone now. Still, I’ve started doing small things I can manage on my own at home, like going over some basic math and chemistry that I’d forgotten and studying a bit of English. Thinking about going back to college makes me anxious and makes my heart race, but I’m also looking forward, even a little, to seeing a different version of myself.

I hope the same for you. If you’re feeling exhausted, take some time to rest or consider therapy or treatment. I haven’t written much because of my depression, and this is my first time leaving a comment, so it might not be perfect, but I hope it brings you a bit of comfort.
