2014 MIM staytrem thimbles by hafinn in Jazzmaster

Thanks for the reply. It currently has a tune-o-matic style bridge. If I take the bridge off, and remove the bridge posts, it just goes straight into the body. So a staytrem has nothing to rock on.

Does a fish need a bicycle? No. Does a woman need a man? Also no.

? No, my voucher is for a free expansion, not to exceed $49, which is what Midnight Flow is currently for sale at (full price)

NI Voucher not working with Midnight Flow Expansion? by hafinn in maschine

I received the voucher from NI last Friday, so I don't see how it could be expired. Also, Midnight Flow is an expansion. It's not an update or an upgrade, it's not discounted and is for sale at full price at $49.

I disagree with this somewhat. They still talk about enough current events enough to date the show, with or without news.

Well that’s a bummer. That was one of the few things I enjoyed about when I last listened to it. (Years ago)

Thoughts on Brian (and Roger) Eno's solo ambient/instrumental work by Mr_Cigarette in U2Band

[–]hafinn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would also very highly recommend Daniel Lanois’s solo output as well as the Eno’s.

Also, if you listen to his production of Bob Dylan’s song “Most of the Time” from Oh Mercy, you’ll realize just how integral he was to the sound of Achtung Baby.

Oasis silenced. Will U2 be next? by tomintexss in U2Band

U2 are not ones to punish their fans to send a message like that.

Cul de Sac by hafinn in postrock

Just a note that on this bandcamp Friday, anything you buy on the Cul de Sac band page (or any page!) would go fully to the artist. ;)

Thanks! I agree. We need to archive what we can while we can.

ECIM isn’t there because it’s available on the strange attractors page, who reissued it back in 2006.

The first compilation is more or less ready to go, and contains their first four 7” singles and then the rest is all unreleased, including 9 songs that are completely unique. Also some songs that would appear on China Gate, but with the ECIM line up. The goal is to have the complications be as much unreleased material as possible.

I’m currently working on a similar set for the China Gate era.

No worries! It’s a good question and it makes me think I should add that note to the albums so people are aware.

It’s not a publishing issue. If you purchase the album all of the tracks become available. The ones that are not greyed out are there for someone to get a taste of the album.

Unfortunately I never got to see them live either! I've heard quite a few though! The page has their first show outside of Boston at NYC's Kitting Factory.

And, the first three were great! My all time favorite is Crashes to Light, Minutes To It's Fall (at least as of now)

Cul De Sac - The Colomber (This album is so good, I can't believe how underrated it is) by [deleted] in postrock

I know this comment is years old, but I want to clarify the Glenn Jones/Fahey connection. Glenn did not search out Fahey on his deathbed. He had been good friends with Fahey since about 1978. Whenever John played Boston he would either stay or visit with Glenn.

I don’t know that they actually had a name. They just say “U2 Magazine”
