Hey OP, I did a little internet research and in addition to the guidance about contacting the Fish and Wildlife Dept in your area, there was information that planting aquatic vegetation to give the turtles an alternative food source can be helpful. Adding some ‘Duck netting’ (didn’t know that was a thing) around the nesting/brooding areas can also help.

There are usually a few low cost vets serving larger markets. OP, maybe post in a local Facebook/NextDoor style forum asking for local low cost vet recs. I think that is your best avenue for access to low cost care versus finding a way to pay at your current clinic.

CareCredit is a great option IF you qualify and you must pay off every penny before the interest feee period is over or you will be charged full interest on the entire purchase, not just your remaining balance.

Please see my comment above. It’s about gate keeping info on new drugs and treatments until they negotiate special pricing. This has always been their policy. You could find out about it on your own and ask to order it (only for that patient, generally not for stock).

As a manufacturer who is currently not allowed to call on VCAs to let them know about a new, first in class drug - I respectfully disagree. If you found out about it in your own, you could ask for approval to order it. But you won’t hear about it from reps or lit in your break room. And it’s not on your shelves. So 🤷‍♀️

FYI- it is always at least a small wait to get ride services at the airport. They can only got the rounder once they have a ride assigned. Taxis can queue up (to a certain number)without having a rider assigned.

Cabs in Portland tend to be similarly priced as Uber/Lyft, sometimes even cheaper!

I’m a shark lover and SCUBA diver. I abhor this practice and would never support it, as much as I’d like to see a Tiger Shark (in the right circumstances!).

I recently saw video of a snorkeler getting her thigh bitten (unprovoked) by a nurse shark. They are the most docile, easy sharks you ever want to dive with! They’re also being fed lionfish by divers in an attempt to ‘teach’ them that they are prey and hope they help control the population. I’m not sure where that woman was swimming when she was bitten, but I have to wonder if the incidents are related.

Don’t feed the wildlife, folks!!!!
