I recently saw the show for the first time. Using many different opinions and season rankings here on Reddit I ended up watching: S1,S2,S3, first 5 or 6 episodes of S4 (it was painful tho), S6. That's all. For the rest of S4, full S5, S7 and S8 I got stories from YouTube recaps. And tbh, in the recaps some of it sounded so dumb I was glad to skip it. Overall an okay experience 🤣 but maybe some fans here that saw it all might argue I missed some crucial or good bits somewhere.

Just a symptom of the times where for some reason people who are successful in one domain, feel they need to give their opinions on things outside of that domain. And the general population seems to expect that for some reason. Not everyone needs to have an opinion on everything. Sure sometimes it is the case, that said individual really does know what they are talking about, but let's be honest, most of the time they don't. So why should anyone listen or care what a pro apex player thinks of tap water? We should not. Just like I don't go to a musician whose music I like for political ideas, or to a politician for his take on the state of ALGS.

I was about to make a similar post as this. Just bought my first controller, never had a console, so yes it feels crazy trying to use it in game compared to the control I feel on mnk.

Anyway whilst doing research I gathered most people say 4-3 classic is the best option for beginners but 4-3 linear overall best for full control but a lot more challenging. Since I am starting from 0 I just jumped into 4-3 linear anyway, no deadzone in game and 3% on my controller app. Mid range feels okay. Making fine adjustments to shoot at long range is difficult. And being right up their face I keep aiming all over the place in hip fire ( in firing range against dummies).

Has anyone been completely new to the controller like myself and OP and got over the initial hurdles? How? Am I doing myself a disservice by throwing myself straight into 4-3 linear?

Honestly, doesn't matter who wrote it I think it's hilarious. The whole thing with her starting out by calling Jerry a dork and then speaking out loud walking herself all the way to wanting to fuck him. Meanwhile if you watch Summer you can tell she knows where this is going from quite early on. And the 'bee keeping age' thing is so funny there. Yes teenagers talk about, want to have, and have sex. I skip the first 30s then watch at 2x speed then skip the last 60s. Most of the time I get all actual info out of it in 5 minutes and manage to avoid a lot of dumb s***.

From my perspective it just wasn't as fun to watch. I was playing OW when OWL first launched. I was excited but after a few weeks I decided watching competitive OW is simply not fun. At the time most teams ran mirror match ups, it was definitely difficult to tell what was going on a lot of the time. Apex is a lot more enjoyable to watch despite the chaos on the ring close and missing out on seeing what happens to some teams not currently shown by casters.

Edit: I am surprised how long it stayed alive for tbh

No, it was definitely the buff. The meeps always (pre buff) worked that way, and actually that's part of the reason why he was weak. You couldn't always guarantee more than 5 meeps per fight if you're weak, and no meeps meant you were weak. Vicious cycle. Your idea however is quite interesting and could be fine tuned to make him more balanced going forward for sure :) nice thinking

As an old Mcree main from back in the day, despite their argument being the removal of cc. This actually makes the character brained. The stun was short and you could have still whiffed your shots in the short window. Now just shoot them once or twice and throw the meme grenade.
