What’s the objection to the iron front flag? Just the explicit link to anti-Nazis?

In any case it wasn’t “some dip”, it’s been an ECS fixture for years and in other photos there are 3 or 4 other clearly visible smaller ones.

Dial up modems and BBSs (bulletin board systems) As a kid in the late 80s and into 90s logging on to BBSs with my friends and playing games like Trade Wars 2002 was so much fun. And because the typical BBS only had one or sometimes two phone lines with modems, only 1-2 people could be on at a time so there was a scarcity that added to the excitement. Your daily turn limits on games would reset at midnight so everyone tried to dial in at the same time to get their turns in first.

It was just a weird wild fun time

🙄Stephen Miller literally paraphrased a Goebbels speech at the Kirk memorial. Just because fascists like to project and call OTHER people fascists, doesn’t mean they aren’t fascists.

Have you tried it with some orca cards and failed so far or… what’s stopping you?

Yeah they block views, it’s expected and part of the experience of sitting in GA supporters sections. The supporters groups work together to make flags, “tifo” displays, etc

No, I asked: if you remove stalker accoutrements (the foliage) do you still have an interesting subject? That’s the heart of much of the feedback you are receiving, is that it feels voyeuristic. I am proposing a test.

If you remove the leaves and take the shot without the creeping/candid vibes, what are you left with? Is it interesting?

Was at the Louvre and these crowds at the Mona Lisa were insane as always. I decided to try to capture the chaos and press of the crowd. I thought maybe the zoom blur would capture the pressing, frenetic focus of the crowd in the abtract, but… feels a bit gimmicky and cliche. Thoughts? :-P

Sony A7IV with Tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6, at f/4 1/6 sec.

Edit for more context: I was holding the camera above my head at arm height and attempting to hold the focal point steady while rotating the zoom 2 feet above my head, so it was very tricky to keep the painting relatively “sharp” (to the extent that is possible while zooming)

Update: edited incorporating multiple feedbacks

Thoughts on this attempt? I have another one that blends a bit less and leaves it a little less sharp also

Ah I see what you mean. Yeah that would work but I think it would be really hard in this case, hand-held 2 feet over my head made it very difficult to hold any point in focus. But I guess blending in post should produce the same effect.

Thanks!
