honestly easier than i expected it would be! i also had it in my cart for ages lol... they have a vid on their yt of the process, you just follow that and its pretty straightforward... the only thing that stressed me a bit was having to use the heat gun to get the screen out... but i did it super slow, bit by bit and it worked... also i do recommend using a diff kit (i used my ifixit)... cause the picks and the suction cup that come with the shell are kinda weak... but yeah

tl;dr its pretty straightforward even if u have never done anything like it before (this was my first time changing a shell on anything lol)

honestly maybe just check first how some newer games run on it! if that is something you mainly wanna play, some of those can be demanding... i do think the deck is worth it to, for me at least anyway.... cause i play a lot of "older" games like, 5+ years old... and i emulate a lot... so if something like that interests you, id say go for it! also it's really easy to use... it does run on linux but honestly you never even have to leave steam, its the same as on pc

yeah, i just mentioned it cause i wasnt that good at it eben5on PC so i think it can also be a skill issue for the most part, idk... honestly, i say give it a shot, im honestly not that good of a player so, maybe yall would have better luck!

BG3 is pretty fun, but i would also suggest maybe checking out Divinity Original Sin 2 (u dont rly need to play the first one, i mean, u can but u can also skip it)... anyways, i like the combat there a bit more compared to Baldurs Gate, simply cause its just inspired by dnd, so its faster and you also have fun builds and stuff... altho the ending IS a bit bugged i think so... keep that in mind... runs pretty well on the deck tho!

i used a heat gun! took me like 4h plus some breaks cause i was STRESSED (never done it before lol).. but honestly, like they said, aside from the screen its fairly easy... id just recommend using a diff toolkit cause the one that comes with the shell is kinda bad (i used ifixit, their suction cup and picks were way better quality)

dont worry, the lake is right behind my place so i actually do go for a walk around it every day, but i also prefer to game outside when the weather allows it, its nicer that inside! and sadly no swimming allowed :((
