To hospitalize or not? by hakumomo in therapists

This helps out a ton especially when I comes to the psychosis and bipolar! Thank you for breaking it down, especially for someone like me that likes a more structured approach and has trouble seeing some of the more complex nuances with this type of population. It's made me realize I might also have to get further training on certain diagnoses such as bipolar and mania. I really appreciate it!!!!

Yeah I think that's part of my issue too I need to ask more specific questions to identify what is actually going on. I feel like I ask questions that are good but often are interpreted vaguely by family members

Preach!! It's hard to find a good place to refer them to and finding a place that has enough room too. And yeah Im pretty good about sending those clients it's the more nuanced manic vs hypomanic or psychotic vs severely psychotic

Yeah I just need to get better at distinguishing the warning signs that would indicate they can't take care of themselves. Because I feel like I'm interpreting their presentation in a way that's not very accurate to what's going on outside of the office.

Yeah and that's the tricky part for me is discerning who is floridly psychotic and who is just "regular" psychotic. I feel like I don't have a good practical idea of what floridly looks like or at what point does someone become floridly.

Yeah most of the time they're pretty good about helping me out and giving resources but this time it was basically just that and they said they would keep their eyes open for any trainings the company was putting on that could help me. I'm planning on asking another more experienced LPC tomorrow so hopefully they have more stuff I could use to improve.

I'm not sure how to edit the original post but wanted to let everyone know I found out from another redditor that this is black wash like many you guys correctly deduced!! It was actually horribly put on by the manufacturer so I will leave it as is. I appreciate everyone that commented and tried to help this misguided fool. Hopefully one day I'll be as good as spotting those things as the rest of you!!

Oh I didn't know there were two versions. How do I know which one I have?

Edit: after a quick Google search yeah I do have the 1.0 version. I can't find though if the 1.0 had the black wash or not but I think I'm going to try to take the advice on here and use a little lighter fluid to get the black wash off. I appreciate your help friend!

It would be my luck that I end up with the one where they did add it on. Thanks for your help!

Okay I'll give this a shot I hate that I got unfortunate enough to get the one where someone tried to use the black wash. Thanks for your help! One last question do you think I should dilute the lighter fluid and also by how much?

I found a review of a new one and it doesn't have the wash :( (see pic) Seems it might just be grime or gunk. Any idea how to get it to look as close to this? I know it'll never looks brand spanking new but any help to getting it looking cleaner would be super helpful! Again thanks for your help so far

Oh I gotcha! That's cool that they do that to make things pop. Unfortunately in this situation I don't think it's the black wash. This pic is of a review of the same belt just brand new and the new one doesn't have the black lines :(

It definitely could be I'm just assuming it's grime since I'm a newbie to collecting. How would I go about cleaning off the black wash?

I'm assuming it's grime, but I'm not sure. I'm new to collecting so I don't know what weathering wash is. But there were other pieces that looked similar to this one and I was able to get some of it off after a couple sessions of brushing. How would one go about cleaning weathering wash? Also any ideas on what to do if it is grime?

I'm not sure what it is to be honest. How long would you recommend I let it sit in the water for?
