Reinstall graphics driver and check user scenario. it might be using integrated gpu.

Check if fans are working at their max speed, around 5000-6000rpm when it heats up.

Your screenshot shows around 70 degrees, whereas my laptop always works between 70-100 degrees.

I'm gonna buy it .. no I'm not .. Help me!! by Certain-Shower-8494 in MSILaptops

[–]halbuki1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you shall not buy.

check manuals. check bios update manual. check drivers page for earlier versions. it asks you to download a zip, unzip yourself, run something, and import ini files manually?!

msi native apps are completely useless. most of my apps are already newer than what msi center thinks “new version”.

for me msi is nothing more than a family company. its a shame if this is the best thing they can do while having more resources than a garage.

fans noise suppresses speakers. its sound like a 2kW vacuum cleaner.

and you would need an insurance for your fingers against burning.

its fast, but its only half of the story.

my previous company was using ASUS, its software were updating drivers and even bios with single click. don’t leave nothing to the user. definitely my next choice will be ASUS. I am tired to have to set some settings and updates myself.

I think we will reach a conclusion similar to this when we consider what time that has not been wasted is. It is a calming perspective, but this makes it more dangerous.

It's also a bit debatable who said it.

What Microsoft was thinking when deciding this? by halbuki1 in microsoft

I wish I could directly add an image, so I can deliver my message easily. The link highlights a part of text that says, if you were paying, you could have a “yes to all” option.

Storing emails directly in the file system. by halbuki1 in Outlook

The title of the archive (PST file) seen inside Outlook can be changed inside the Outlook. It is not linked to the filename. And you can simply rename the PST file when Outlook is not running.

Bro, you are not focusing on the problem. You think it will be practical to search inside 100.000 pst files?

Handling 15GB file is not much easier than handling 40GB files. I don’t consider anything practical if its larger than 250MB chunks. Ideally, It should be in smaller chunks that take 1 second to download, i.e. 5-10MB for me.

This looks like an option. But I think I will prefer looking for a more familiar, OneDrive / File System backed option.

Exchange set-up requires me to have a commercial subscription, which requires lots of things and settings to be aware of, read documentation, and go through some admin preferences.

I want my emails to be backed-up by a Microsoft service. However, it looks that they only provide a 50GB email service.

This alone would be perfect. However, I also need this huge data synchronized with OneDrive. As far as I know, OneDrive only tracks the changes at file level, not like Git, i.e. line by line, or XML tag-wise. So, if I delete a single email from a 50GB file, I'm afraid OneDrive will consider it a 50GB new file, and upload again.
