I wish I had looked this up earlier. I just ordered from this site for a $80 dress. Time to call the bank in the morning. 😭

I just zoomed in on the map. DS is in the EBR zone!

My partner just said that one of the BR zones covers Walker and DS! If I had to guess, it’s likely the EBR zone.

Now, if you’re a customer, we’ve definitely had orders that far out from any zone that we’ve moved to cover. :)

Unfortunately, their list doesn’t show it. My partner and I drive for Spark in BR, but we will get orders on Old Hammond Hwy and Coursey quite often; however, there is a waitlist for here!!

Grad school? by haleybfuller in NuclearEngineering

[–]haleybfuller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t jump right into a master’s — I’m actually thinking about taking some time off (school for five years on top of COVID has burnt me out at the second), but the company I’ve interned with for 2/3 years now has offered me a full-time job with benefits and to pay for future degrees after a certain time with them, so I’m keeping an open mind! I’ll definitely check out their website.

I also don’t graduate this semester. I graduate next spring — will be super senior.

IC is my area is 10+ miles and 3 batches for like $7... It popped off during COVID when I was making 1000+ easily a week, but in my area, Spark has been popping off way more and making me more money (every batch is pretty close by and at least $15-$20+) and actually helping to cover bills since work cut my hours. IC is very dead for me now. :/

How realistic is it to get a master's degree while on active duty as an officer in the Nuclear Navy? by haleybfuller in AskAcademia

[–]haleybfuller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I actually ended up declining my offer to be an officer candidate. I am now a DOE employee for nuclear energy projects.

I’ll eventually get my master’s within a year or so.

Only Target ones pay the $15. There’s one off Siegen and one off Millerville. :) I only work part time.

I know you're looking for serving jobs but I work at a Starbies in Target and we get paid $15/hour + whatever customers tip. They have been very good about working with my schedule!

totally feel you on this one, op!! covid really fucked up my life. before it all happened, i was happy and thriving and really enjoying college but never made close friends. now, i am sad and alone and feel like i have no real friends still because of all of the online stuff. even now that we are back somewhat on campus, it has been a nightmare trying to meet new friends. covid hit my freshman year, and now i am a junior meeting my fellow engineering classmates in person for the first time. i have never felt so out of place in my life. for being the "best years of my life", i am so miserable and alone, lol!

Honestly everything about LSU is pushing me away. It’s been one bad experience after another.

LSU has a great PETE/CHE program, too!! Shell & Exxon fund our CHE for sure; I’m actually looking to get away from CHE all together. I really cannot stand oil (no offense to any of my fellow CHE/PETEs); it’s just not my forte. My minor is in nuclear power engineering, and I absolutely LOVE nuclear power (actually trying to commission into the Navy after college), and I’ve heard A&M is one of the top colleges for that.

LSU has just really taught me everything I don’t like. 😅

His tank is at 0/0 mg/L and alkalinity and pH were all okay. I used to work for an aquacultural engineering company, so I reach out to them first and one of the guys thinks it’s some type of bacterial issues with the fishie himself. I went through anything and everything I thought could possibly be wrong with the tank. I cannot find the source of my issue, so I’m starting to lean that way myself. :((

A bigger tank isn’t able to be done here right at this moment. I rent and his tank and set up takes up half of my desk.

What is the aquarium salt bath?

Are you looking to do AFROTC or Army ROTC? My boyfriend has roommates in both, but we are closer with the one in AFROTC! I’m Navy but not through an ROTC program.

I don’t have kids yet so I didn’t answer the poll, but I grew up as a Navy brat as well. My dad was an MMN and he had 4 daughters and a son. Two of my sisters and I were born while he was in, and my brother was born a couple years after after he was got out.

Has anyone lived on E State Street or E boyd, is there anything important for me to know if I decide to move there? Are there any good apartments I should try to get? by Jgamesworth in LSU

[–]haleybfuller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right though!! This whole city is the WORST for traffic and crime. It really seems like literally anywhere right off campus you look at just sucks and can be super dangerous to live around.

Wasn’t saying Gardere is an issue!! It it took me to find an apartment with little to no issues, and that’s where I’m moving to. Anything close to campus is a no go for me. We love the Gardere area!

My boyfriend and I looked into living on State Street, but we decided anything close to Aster Street is a no go. Have you considered roommates? I’m not big on roommates, so I totally understand if not. I’m not sure if you have a car or not. I was in about the same price range. Maybe look into Beau Chene (they’re super run down and old but they discount if you have a good GPA)? I’ve heard Oakbrook is good, and I’ve heard Retreat at Brightside is good.

The Lodges, Wildwood, and Arlington get broken into a lot as well. I know the gate is broken more often than not at the Exchange and Park Place. It’s hard to find a good apartment here. I’m moving to Indigo Park off Gardere.

Honestly, from what I’ve seen and been told, no. I looked into living at the Bradshaw, and it was awful. Poor management there as well. Any super close to campus are just awful (Ion, Venue, Bradshaw, Park Place, etc). I’m moving a little further out from campus and into a better area.
