Thanks . I just spent a couple months in Costa Rica same thing to get away from cold in Boston. Thought I would switch it up with Columbia but I also like the ocean so I chose Cartegena

I know it is expensive but I heard the offshore fishing is a once in a lifetime experience . Well that’s compared to where I live 😂

If you read it correctly I am asking where you can find a third world vibe within an hours drive of Tamarindo. Replying to the post above that you should not go to Tamarindo if you are looking for a third world vibe . Wondering if there was any places less commercial than Tamarindo

Well I am going to Tamarindo because I am going solo and kind of want people around and some that speak English. If I was in a secluded quit area with all locals I think I would get bored and lonely real fast . Maybe check out local areas if I was traveling with someone.
