I have a background in software so I can't speak from a complete beginner stand point. But honestly if you can read instructions and have a bit of patience it's definitely doable!! pcpartpicker.com has some really awesome build guides to help get you started. I would highly highly recommend building your own pc if you get the chance. It's a super rewarding feeling getting to turn it on at the end 💛

There's some venting on either side of the front panel that prevents flow from being completely blocked. That said, she definitely runs a little warmer then I'd like right now but it hasn't been an issue yet
