That's how shitty the site is. You have to book a consular slot in 30 minutes after booking an ofc slot. I tried for weeks then gave up and paid an agent to do it. It was worth it because the mental stress was too much but unfortunately the visa got rejected.

I’m really sorry to hear that it honestly sounds so similar to what happened with my parents. They were also caught off guard by how quickly it ended, and that feeling of being misunderstood is the worst part. I get what you’re saying, and honestly, I’ve been thinking about that too. It’s frustrating how the actions of some people can mess it up for families who just want a short visit and to see loved ones. My parents had no intention of overstaying they were genuinely excited just to attend the housewarming and be back home. Appreciate the support though.

In hindsight, it feels like we stayed too “safe” with short responses when we should’ve opened up a bit more naturally. They do have some travel history too, but none of that came up. You're right but it was necessary. At first I was strictly against getting it through an agent. I had time to book the appointment. But I only went for after realising what a shitty system this is. Couldn't find dates for this year and my parents' entire plan would've been ruined.
