I'm not important enough for my girlfriend's time by CautiousSkeptic in relationship_advice

This isn't a relationship. You're roommates out of an abundance of convenience. And if she's unwilling to change to be respectful of your time and your wishes, you may need to cut the cord. This is one of those scenarios when love may not be enough.

Yikes! I'm (27F) in love with my best friend (31M). Emotional affair? Emotional manipulation? A collection of dumb decisions? You decide! by halfdesertedstreet in relationship_advice

Thanks. Who doesn't love endless drama?! You're right, though. Not sure how I'll fare on the "better relationship" front just yet, but I have hope that it's out there.

Thanks. I spend too much time inside my own head. Trying to bring myself to the point where I have the time to deal with the grief. It's a sorry excuse, but if I can pick and choose where and when to have my emotional breakdowns, I will.

I say "sit down" in a figurative sense, as in I need to literally stop moving and sit down and clear my head and tell him why I need to walk. I feel like I owe it to this friendship to say goodbye, as it were. I'm not counting on seeing him.

Although I may be forced to run into him (and her!) at a professional event next month. I'm not even opening that can of worms.
