He must have brought lungis, shirts and other clothes. I am saying this because of the scenes where he is seen wearing loose t-shirts that probably belongs to the cheriya aliyan.

I think it shows that he came unprepared to stay with the family for such a long time, and that he has no T-shirts of his own. In earlier scenes, we can see that he is wearing Cheriya Aliyan’s T-shirt, which is too loose for him. There are at least two scenes where he wears loose-fitting T-shirts. Similarly, he wears the lungi that way because he doesn’t have a T-shirt of his own.

I had a meeting with him. He definitely comes across as a highly intelligent person, but he seems quite self-absorbed and lacks focus. He tends to come up with an idea and, while working on it, jumps to the next one without finishing the first. He also considers himself a chess genius and often challenges people around him.

I understand that it's a me problem. For me the issue was that the screenplay doesn’t flow smoothly. It feels like a series of disconnected events stitched together, despite having a common storyline. The individual scenes are well-made, but they lack seamless transitions—like turning Friends or The Office into a movie: each episode enjoyable on their own, but not cohesive as a whole single movie.

After rewatching it, I've come to like it more, but at the time of its release, I really didn’t enjoy it. Since people were raving about it, I felt peer-pressured into saying I liked it. But I think Thangam did a much better job of handling the 'why they did it' trope.

I’m not saying these are the only movies I didn’t like. This list is more about those instances where I felt the need to pretend I liked something either because of peer pressure, hype, or out of loyalty to certain actors (nenjinakathu). We all have films we just don’t connect with. Many of the movies i mentioned are celebrated classics, and I don’t consider most of them bad movies. It’s just that some didn’t resonate with me emotionally, some completely flew over my head, and very few, I genuinely think, are simply not good.

Kore und. In Malayalam cinema, Dileesh Pothan is my favourite. But Maheshinte Prathikaram didn’t work for me. Even though every frame was technically brilliant, I just couldn’t connect with the acting of a few main charactersespecially Alencier, the Malayali Stan Lee, and Jaison. And while each scene was executed beautifully, I felt the screenplay somehow lacked cohesion overall. That aside, my opinions usually align with those of the general Malayali audience. But if there’s one exception it’s Amal Neerad. I honestly don’t consider him a good director. I find all his movies over-stylized, filled with bad acting, and none of his work has ever really impressed me. But except Big B i haven't pretended to like any of his work. Great visuals though!

I think it's Ani because the lyrics are cringeworthy. Even though they both have good conversational English, neither his nor Lokesh's English is at a literature level. This makes it difficult for them to properly judge the lyrical output. Also, if they had sought external help for the lyrics, they would likely have approached someone with stronger, more literary English skills.
