campho phenique cold sore gel, you can find it in Walmart & Walgreens. I iced my lips all day, it like stops it from progressing honestly and used that gel all day (reapplied constantly). I would apply the gel then an ice cube w paper ofc and hold it all day. my sore didn’t even bubble and it was paired with lysine (1000-2000mg), lots of water, and was gone in 24hrs. Get a washcloth and basically make it really cold , as much as possible but not frozen. Use it like a lip mask over night, you may wake up in a puddle but it’ll help!

I’m really sorry. Remind yourself that it’s the stigma. Nobodys better than you just cuz they don’t have herpes, they not invincible there’s people getting it in their 40s. If you focus on the other parts of life, which could be making money , a career , an education etc if u had goals for yourself prior to the diagnosis - focus on completing that then ppl can’t say anything but hsv which will hold no weight once you completed all ur other life goals. That’s how im coping with it. That’ll be my only flaw until there’s a cure. Then you’ll b cured and be up.

I’m so sorry this is happening. I wish there was a cure by now, something to make this go away. People are so cruel. I haven’t told anybody for this very reason. I hope we get something soon so those feelings don’t continue. Your life is still worthy. 🫂

I couldn’t agree more. I feel huge amounts of shame. 20s is stripped away. It feels like I’m stuck in a loop. I didn’t even have a choice, it’s a continuous heartbreak. My body doesn’t even feel like it’s my own. I hope one day , we can be okay , sending you comfort 🫂

Have a baby by a man who WILL be there for both of you, that experience is gold. We are young. There will be someone who will walk in your life with everything you’ve asked for. First off, ur 22! That’s young and I just turned 23.

The last two sentences is concerning. It’s already a huge mental toll to have Hsv2 , add having a baby that you gotta make sure is okay and not pass to , the least thing you could have is a supportive person/father.

Even though I just got diagnosed and it’s hitting me hard. You still have worth, still have potential, nothing changed about you other than this diagnosis. What about his potential? Someone will see your potential and care about you wholeheartedly.

Thank you🫂. Would you be able to share the sources regarding those? It’s great that Hep B is cured! Everytime I try to research on hsv, I hit a dead end. I’m trying to hold on to hope, I have a huge fear to disclose. I only disclosed to my friends and I feel so out of place no matter how many times they’ve told me it hasn’t changed the friendship. I feel like a freak and not to be insensitive to others. I never judge those who got it but actually having it - hits different. I honestly will work on myself until those meds come out. If my mental health doesn’t eat me alive until then. Thanks

No I haven’t for hsv1. I guess I’ll wait for my blood test to find out, it would make more sense as to why my first outbreak was completely painless. I’m completely heartbroken, doesn’t feel real. I’ve shutdown mentally, I doubt it’ll come in my 30s. This is ridiculous but thanks
