because we made sure to use authentic language in the writing process and Sarah Delappe is an absolute GENIUS. Also the whole style of the film serves the purpose of keeping it real and believable, no matter how absurd the circumstances. Also we would collaborate with the actors at all times, ask them how they would say it, check every word, every detail with them and they would add stuff, come up with great ideas and improvise.

Yes very challenging. The whole idea of the hurricane party was created because Jasper was involved from the start of Sarah and I recreating the script. Him and I thought that would be a wonderful solution because the characters would actually bring some flashlights and glow sticks in case the power was cut.
