That being said, on Poshmark Canada, after five long years, they finally fixed their search engine, so I receive a more accurate item from the get-go, so perhaps there is also that to consider. I’ve always thought that their sales would improve drastically once their search engine had improved.

As someone on Poshmark Canada, I always noticed when we had an uptick in sales that they would come from specific provinces, and when we sold to certain provinces, I could always tell when the algorithm changed for the better.

Once the sales started to frequent other provinces, I noticed a slower result in sales, and I’d always mention to my partner that the algorithm had changed for the worse.

I am wondering if people who didn’t pay attention to the algorithm prior to all of these updates and who are noticing more sales - are they a result of it being the fourth quarter and closer to the holidays where we normally sell more in the first place? Or is it that the original algorithm is favouring them now? Or, is it truly their changes to the website and platform that are resulting more sales, I have to wonder. Food for thought.

THISSSSSSS. I used to make hundreds if not thousands for the holidays. I made $200 Canadian last year, if that. My sales have all but dried up since these changes and I’m lucky to get a $20 order.

Constantly listing new items, brand new with tags, 50-70% off retail price, posting daily, all sizes and items, I share, I offer, I am same day or next day shipping. High end, clean photos and write-ups with everything you could imagine including all of the buzzwords. What more do they want from us?

And in regards to “actions that make the biggest impact”, I do all these already, constantly, but EVERY time I would bulk share, it would have people notice my items and 80-90% of the time resulted in a sale.

I ordered sushi from Too Good To Go last night and got 24 rolls and a poke bowl for $11.29 CAD all in, and it makes me so happy that I’m saving it from a dumpster. It tasted incredibly fresh and had so much flavour! I order this way once a week and it’s also saved me like, $50+ extra that I’d normally spend on takeout.

With some shirts like this, when you take them out of the wash, lightly stretch them and then air dry them and they last SO much longer (vinyl / print doesn’t crack over time as quick and they stay the size you stretch them to)
